In fairness to Froch, he didn't even hit it that hard and had to be persuaded into doing it as he was fighting the following weekend and he said he was worried about damaging his hands

 

Puff...everyone knows the punch machines sort the men from the boys...you should see the queues for it in walkabout on a friday night.

I was on a stag doo recently in spain and we were all having a go, then we started mucking about using the head and elbows etc...

We'll smart arse decided to try and kick it, i had shoes on and was pissed as a newt, went to kick it and my standing leg gave way and i fell a peach.

nearly broke my arm had an egg on my elbow for the rest of the week, but like a true scotsman still managed to keep the glass in my hand, albeit 3/4's of my drink was all over me.

Funny **** though my mates almost pissed their pants....

The machine isn't perfect, but it is accurate enough. It measures the force in teh punch pure and simple.

Calzaghe has more power than Froch, when he choses to use it.

Froch said in the local press that meaty mick was going ape at him not to wreck his hand on the punch machine as he was fighting the following weekend.

He also said he screwed his wrist up on one at skegness years ago and dont trust them.

 

They have exactly the same device in, one just lists the score as 10x, the actually mechanics are identical. Same machine different casing and presentation.

Carl Froch could never match Calzaghe on one pf those machines.
