but if you look at the list of IBF, WBA and WBC champions during his WBO reign they were so called "bums" or people he had already fought and beaten....most of whom are also "bums" apparently

i think everyone should just stop bumming each other and start arguing about something new instead of regurgitating variations on the Calzaghe hate/ love theme

anyway. i dont recall this moment from Calzaghes career. the closest he ever came was against Hopkins and that was role reversal.

I've only read a couple of your posts, and all you appear to be on here for is to snipe and insult and criticize, I've never read you make even one decent post or proposal. You're a ****ing troll, log out and disappear. :hi:

    Makes

    no

    SENSE.

    Do

    you

    know

    what

    a

    troll

    IS??

All I do on here is start threads, write extensively about boxing, and try to never initiate slanging matches that are personal and have little or nothing to do with boxing. In short, the opposite of a troll. A troll turns up midway through threads, has little or nothing to say on the thread-subject, and merely tries to start arguments. Kinda like what you've just done.

    Begone troll! :hi:

    a) At last count, 2 of my last 25 threads I started contained the name Calzaghe, and 1 of those was "Should JMM jump above Calzaghe if he beats Casamayor?" so it was as much about Marquez as it was about Joe Cal. WRONG.

    b) A troll does not start threads and write extensively on boxing. You don't know what a troll is. WRONG.

    c) If you actually read this thread, you will see me dismiss opinions I find ridiculous, agree with those I think are valuable, and accept and consider those I may not agree with but can respect and appreciate. WRONG.

    You are dismissed.

Oh, and can someone with a mighty 40 posts who joined this month really know me and my posting history well enough to state that 70% of my posts are about a certain subject, and know likewise about 3 other posters??

No. You are clearly an alias with an axe to grind. I repeat: get lost.

You don't merely disagree with my beliefs or debating tactics, otherwise you would have just said so and explained why. Instead you had to be the smart man, implying I was a troll. The guy I was responding to has followed me around various threads recently, giving me abuse - ie a troll. You implied I was one. You began a quarrel, not me. Good riddance.

Let me ask you guys a question. Do you think that Calzaghe would have been better off facing ultra tough competition earlier in his career (Glen Johnson, Bernard Hopkins, Roy Jones Jr etc.).................even if that meant taking a loss or 2? Or is it better to retire undefeated?

You really are a thick ****ing *****. Since I personally know the fighter you seem to spend your entire life being obsessed with, I'm not going to dignify your endless obsession with him by commenting on your lame drivel. But do carry on, as you undoubtedly will you sad tosser

You have highlighted how rubbish the supermiddleweight division was after Benn, Eubank, Jones, Collins and Toney. Calzaghe held the WBO title for 10 years against those opponents you mention in his prime. Then out of his prime he beats Lacy, Kessler and Hopkins. Do you realise how good Calzaghe could have been back then if he had some decent opposition? What Calzaghe lacked was a Nemesis in his mid to late 20's or early 30's.

Remember, Beyer, Ottke and Co had the other titles tied up in Germany.

Calzaghe would have destroyed both of them on the same night if the fight was in the UK. If Calzaghe had fought Ottke in Germany he would have been disqualified.

Most of the ten years were wasted back then, but Joe is making up for it now. I don't believe he will retire anytime soon. There is so much money to be made. Also moving up to lightheavyweight will still give him the edge in speed.

I will indeed, because the opinion of a dumb little troll like you means less than nothing to me. You know Joe? I'm so impressed. You're a celebrity. Log out.

Do you mean because of the content (thread-subject and start) or because of the endless bitching and arguing that's gone on?
