Reid and Mitchell lost close decisions that could've went either way. I saw the Reid fight and read reports of the Mitchell fight. Both lost though, and that's all I wrote. Facts, not opinion.

It is a response to a thread someone else made, that's all. How can this be anti-Calzaghe when every single sentence and fact is true? It's merely presenting the truth for people to make their own judgements. I only include my opinions in the next post.

You show me one person who thinks ottke beat reid and ill show you a muppet. Calzaghe-Reid was a closer fight that could have gone either way, Ottke-Reid was a joke.

There is no need to defend him though, I'm just showing the guys on his resume. Whether it's all his fault or not, this is his WBO resume.

Um, you really spent that much of your own time worrying about somebody else's resume to feel the need to document every last inadequate detail in print? Dude, get a girlfriend.

Sure, but to the extent the guys on his resume weren't of his or his promoter's choosing, you can't pin the guy down for dodging if he would have needed to fight those guys anyway.

Even take away those 6 fights, and his resume still looks like crap until Lacy, and possibly even until Kessler if Lacy continues to stink it up.

Wow Pacfan....seems like your thread didn't garner nearly as much respect as mines which cast a largely positive light on Calzaghes...

    Maybe that's because you weren't objective....at all.

Who else could Calzaghe have fought in your opinion? There is strong evidence to suggest that Ottke and Hopkins ducked him and Jones has recently been saying politics prevented it from happening with him.

So tell me, who could JC have fought up until 2006 that would have signficantly added to his legacy?

Cheers amigo. The intention isn't to expose though to be honest, it's just to present facts and let people make up their own minds. A guy posted a thread earlier called

Calzaghe Only Faced Bums In His WBO Title Reign? OFFICIAL BREAKDOWN

But it was pretty rubbish. I thought it was worth doing in detail since it was out there.
