is it possible for any other boxer to have such a pathetic highlight reel KO list

Look at those opponents after they were "knocked out"

    what a damn joke

Calzaghe was arguably the biggest SMW puncher ever. Calzaghe was proven to be a harder puncher than Froch AND Holyfield.

Speed, Chin, Footwork, Defense, aggressive, jab hooks, body shots, uppercuts, head movement, boxing brain, combinations, stamina?

Wtf did this boy not have!?????!

The fact that haters ARE STILL TALKING ABOUT HIM 2 years after his retirement says it all really?

    legend!

Wow Calzaghe broke the machine, it would not go any higher, he hit that thing much harder than Froch or Holyfield or anybody else come to that.

    fantastic song, its irrefutable.

if froch wins the super6, i genuinely think theres a chance he will come back and fight froch.

It's pathetic what they will push on an audiance that is 90% drunk well before the Nation Athem is completed. You can easily see in Calzaghe's early vids that he lacked proper punching technique even in his amateur bouts. His womanly flailings are the reason why he is susceptible to hand damage. The hype doesn't even know how to throw proper punches. He should have received DQs for most of his fights for punching with an open hand, holding behind the head and hitting, and excessive rabbit slapping. :yep It takes great skill to make a highlight that bad, and so revealing about Calzaghe's cheating, dirty techniques, and Ref lack of warning for dirty tactics and gift stoppages. How pathetic!

I doubt it. If it becomes true though, expect the no-talented Froch to hand Calzaghe his first defeat. Joe would only take the match to get some quick dough for another rock.

Even after being retired for over two years probably three years by that time , I would still favour Joe Calzaghe to beat Froch.
    {Most people would say he would need a tune up but could he get motivated for a tune up, Joe is good enough to go straight in there and win}

    Really?

    I doubt it.

Despite our disagreeing on many things Calzaghe, I think we can both agree he is very protective of his "0"....... But, personally, if he comes back and is able to round into any kind of form, he beats Froch pretty wide.

would be interesting to know how much attention calzaghe pays to forums like esb, whether or not he gets pissed off with the stuff people say about him.

if froch won the super6, he would be judged the best super-mid since he retired, calzaghe could shut quite a few people up by beating the winner of the super6, plus froch may have got under his skin with all the **** he has said about joe in the past.

the fight could make a massive promotion in britain and there would be big money available for him. i'm probably talking bollocks :yep but i maybe it would be something he would consider?

i suppose the weight would then become a stumbling block with calzaghe wanting it at light - heavy and where would the belt come from? i'd give froch a decent chance of winning as well in a years time if he had the confidence of winning the super6 behind him.

I know there are a few fighters or their teams who read occassionally. I never thought Calzaghe might be one. If he does, I would bet he doesn't care.....
Interesting.......I don't think think Froch would pose all that big of a challenge stylistically to the Calzaghe of 08......I would prefer to see Bute or Ward in there with him. Maybe JC would come out and fight the winner of the whole S6 vs Bute winner. Maybe then Froch.....or the other way around, Froch 1st would be better.

I say this with all sincerity, I honestly wish he had not retired. I really think he had some fights left in him and could have answered a lot of the unanswered questions.

I don't think he wil come back mate, especially as it's been a couple of years since he retired and he has been on the chazzawick.:rofl

Besides, Zaggers and Frochy are good mates these days:

I lost alot of respect for Carl Froch for becoming Joe Calzaghe's mate, I know deep down inside he still hates Joe Calzaghe, and didnt want to follow the footsteps of the welshman by beating up old men so let him off.

Enzo Calzaghe must have given Carl Froch some cool off ransom money, Froch becoming soft led him to lose to Kessler.

Froch probably realised his top 5 wins **** over Joe Calzaghe's full resume, so Calzaghe can now look up to him now.
