This idiot Bailey isn't aware that anyone can edit Wikipedia, in fact I just edited the Wikipedia page myself and changed it to the real truth which is that he never fought Chris Byrd and there's no evidence he ever did.

    Look for yourself.

I understand but Calzaghe forged a career at 1 division under a limit that BHop was was two divisions under. A 43 year old middle at lt heavy and you taste canvas, get a split decision and win it on workrate? Hell Jermaine Taylor did that twice. Joe quit while he was ahead, he fougt for himself and had a good thing going at the domestic level. I just dont understand the level of dire need to inflate, its so obvious, was Joe that damn exciting? was he that good for the sport? was he a trascendant figure? You dont get credit for what might have been.

Lets not get carried away from the KD, Joe wasnt hurt and got straight up and went on the attack. Hopkins got put down twice by Mercado, but it dosent mean a thing.
J Taylor in his first fight with Hopkins wasnt winning down the stretch and was in a haze at one point, Calzaghe wasnt, he was beating Hopkins all round, forcing Hopkins to shut down.
Calzaghe didnt win on workrate, he won on ring generalship and because his left landed more than Hopkins right.

What is this domestic level you talk of for a WBO WBC WBA IBF RING SMW champ?

Dont you think its strange that Byrd says he never fought Calzaghe?

Dont you think its a little weird that when Joe and Hops were fighting and Byrd was on tv talking about hopefully fighting the winner doing the commentary the he woulve perhaps mentioned it or the other commentators perhaps aluded to it just a little bit ?

Dont you think that Joe would mention this highly impressive amateur win in his autobiography since he mentioned far far lesser wins ?

What tournamnet was this in , where was it, who was the ref ?
This is absurd having to fabricate his amateur record in this way !
