    Fair, objective, perfect. :good

A tremendously talented fighter who never made the most of that talent. How this belief can be widely considered "hate" boggles the mind.

Is knocking somebody down the new winning a fight?

It reminds me of the Vitali fans that believe as long as you are winning a fight when you are stopped it does not matter regardless.

Hopkins fans seem to hang their hat on him knocking Calzaghe down too. Its like scoring a consolation goal whilst getting beat 5-0 if you lose the fight.

What grates me is idiot Americans slagging Calzaghe whilst proclaiming Hopkinns an ATG. Check Hopkins title reign, more bums than a gay convention!

Wasnt this **** old when you were wheeling it out 1-2, 3-4, 5-6 weeks ago?
Your like a travelling salesman with magic potions and wares that nobody wants.

You've already stated you dont hate calzaghe in about 50 posts on him and you also even put a disclaimer in at the start of most of your threads explaining why you dont hate him. One doth protest too much methinks.

You dont hate him but you are obsessed by him for some reason.
Undoubtedly you will log in under the name Joecaldragon to rebuff this post and maybe start another poll on how you dont hate him.

Anyway I feel like eminem writing at the end of the song stan.
Dont harm yourself if Joe beats Jones at least stay around to see him retire.

Other than that seek help. Much as I enjoy you continual calzaghe posts you are not even thinly disguising your attacks anymore.

    Emoc power! :good

Don't harm myself if Joe beats Jones? If you have been studying my posts as closely as you seem to have been doing (are you obsessed with me??) then you should know I have been very vocal in my belief that Joe will win very easily. I am more than prepared for that, so don't you be worried about me.

As I said earlier, the subject of this thread is Calzaghe's resume. Attacks on me personally simply show that people such as yourself cannot defend his resume or say that the facts presented are not true. Thank you for helping me proving my point. :happy

But actualy who does? A lot of his biggest fans on esb seem to have disapeared, (I've been away for the summer and they weren't here when I got back:D ) Such as Amsterdam, CHJ,Team Calzaghe and Pride of Wales(though he often was more down to earth than those other posters)
I think people are to obssesed with compartmentalizing fighters in a sometimes geeky fashion, are they HOF or ATG? Instead of just appreciating a fighter when he's around.

If all of your 200+ posts have been as lame as that, I'm glad I haven't noticed you posting much before.

I don't hate him. I don't know him. I think he's a talented fighter, but the way his fans talk about him irritates me, it's undeserved.

And you're a moron, but so what?

You are quite right to an extent, something similar to this could be done effectively with MOST boxers' resumes (not all though- not De La Hoya or Trinidad or Barrera to name but three off the top of my head), but that doesn't change the fact that details of some of the challengers on Calzaghe's resume were just shocking, and that the general standard was not very good. That's my only point with this thread, nothing else. I am not calling his ability into question, I never have.

Chris Eubank was a 180 pounder?! Are you high?? He was a middleweight (160lbs) champion and had by far his best wins at that weight (Benn and Watson) for years, then was a supermiddleweight champion (168lbs) for years, and only weighed more than that a handful of times, all towards the end of his career, and lost the only 2 of those which was against decent opposition.

Keep typing if you wish, but your credibility has been destroyed, you are commenting on things you clearly know nothing about.
