Yet another achievement for the CBE that isn't matched by anyone else.

An old woman with one arm and half an eye could have beat Roy.

Beating up on a fragile old chamion does not make him great. Marciano never gets credit for beating Joe Louis because Joe was 137 years old. Calzaghe won't get credit for it either.

He may be the most overrated fighter in the last decade. Beating up on four drunk limeys and a belgian doesn't make you great.

It's nice in lettering but weak in actual execution.

Well Taylor beat hopkins twice, so he is twice as good as calzaghe.

Same for Tarver, he beat Jones twice, once by KO and also this was a younger Jones. So he is atleast twice as better as Calzaghe too.

Taylot got Ko'd by pavlik and lost again, Then pavlik got schooled by hopkins, And calzaghe beat hopkins when he was younger,
Makes him much better than taylor when you are looking at that perspective.

Beating Hopkins is always worthy of the accolades no matter the age.

Beating Jones Jr after about 2003 is just a stat pad at this point. Sorry RJJ fans.

    What's your point?

Hector Camacho is the only fighter to beat both Roberto Duran and Ray Leonard, but does that really mean anything?

Calzaghe is a great fighter, that can not be denied IMO. I'm not saying this to bash him, I'm just saying that this "achievement" is rather meaningless. One of those wins means virtually nothing, the other, while an excellent win as Hopkins is still a great fighter, is a close and unconvincing decision over a 43-year old man.

Yes this is true. However I do not rate Joe's victory over Jones one bit. Pointless fight
