As for Lacy, are people not allowed to re-think what they thought of him? Does one have to believe he's great for the rest of their life just because they thought he was at one point?

I thought Lacy was pretty good. And I can admit to thinking he would win. But not because LAcy was a GOD as you say, but more so because I didn't think Calzaghe was looking all that great before the fight. But I can also racall how average Lacy looked before the Calzaghe fight as well. But he has a helluva punch and Calzaghe has been known to mix it up too much.

Anyway, you seem to want to think Lacy was a beast now more then ever. You probably didn't think much of him before the calzaghe fight, just judging from your history. So you upgrade Lacy as opposed to those who downgrade him. Well, Lacy's performances tells us whether he's got the goods or not. You can judge him for yourself.

Well when you title a thread in a way that specifically addresses the two old dogs he beat people are gonna respond with their opinions on it... I'm not gonna take anything away from Calzaghe (except his victory over Jones which means squat), but as far as beating young, championship level contenders goes... Hopkins and Jones Jr have those qualifications in spades! Hell, I don't think Calzaghe has anything that matches the comprehensive ownage Jones Jr put over Toney, who was a genuinely strong, dominant champion...

I give him massive credit for beating B-Hop... If anything B-Hop's recent victory over Pavlik put Joe's win it into greater context. I just think it's funny how all the Calzaghe leg-humpers call B-Hop a boring fighter when Calzaghe at his ripe age is becoming just as much of an accumulator of points/UD master a B-Hop is... You cannot have a resume as weak as calzaghes and expect to be immune to criticism even floyd mayweather receives criticism from americans because they deem him to be ducking or to have ducked big fights so nationality is not an issue
