More ****-poor logic. Hopkins beat Trinidad when he was 37, supposedly lost to Calslappy when he was 43 but to the real fan he won, that fight was as bent as hell. There's a big (HUGE) difference between 37 year old Hopkins and the one that Joe fought, and as I already stated he lost the fight to the 43 year old, what would the 37 year old have done....leave it to your imagination :yep Same as with old shot Jones who still had enough to floor the bum, in his prime he'd have crucified the ****, that much we know :good

Yeah, anything you agree with just happens to sensible I guess... :-(

The arguments people have used against Calzaghe in this thread are valid. I don't expect nuthuggers and fanboys to agree with them though.

Just because we don't lick Joe's balls like you doesn't mean we're "haters"

Yes anyone that tells the truth and says Jones was shot and Hopkins was 43 is a lame hater.

Well, based on the facts, Jones was 39 & shot, & Hopkins was 43 & way past his prime, so... where's the lie at?

Jones I give ya...he is not NEARLY what he was, and would likely win, but not without a very competative fight from Joe;;;;; Hopkins looked 30 against Pavlik, so I don't think Hopkins will ever grow old
Hell, I'm 57 and i can do more pushups now, than when I was in my twenties, so i aint aging either :hi:

Calzaghe aint exactly the fountain of youth, but I still aint seen you haters of Joe complain about Dawson...he is only 26, and fought a 39 year old Johnson, who
I feel beat him, and a 40 year old...Joe is only a bit over 2 years younger than RJJ, and 6 younger than Hopkins, wheras, dawson is 13 years younger than Johnson and 14 younger than Tarver...jesus, if Joe did that, you'd never let me hear the end of it...but anyone else does that= fine, sure, no problem

**** the Jones Jr fight, the TS is obviously having one.

Hopkins may be 43 and past prime but the Hop Calzaghe beat is a far better fighter than the one Jones beat.

I'm not complaining about Dawson cause he's not at the end of his career for one. Dawson will continue to fight, & if more good LHW's appear, he'll fight them & he'll probably win. If Dawson was to retire today, I'd give him hell because his greatest wins were over 40 year olds also.

So agreeing with a sensible poster is bad?? you haters will hate Joe, and never give him credit no matter what he does, so why keep your nonsense up??

I like joe alot...but his win over kessler is better than jones....I can name 100 fighters that can beat jones right now...this thread is stupid...why would he get credit for beating jones? he is 5-6 years out of his prime
