Joe was an "overprotected" "Welshman" afraid to leave to UK to fight? You're making that dumb ass assumption that any fighter is untested unless he comes to the US to fight. That's ignorant. Joe was the champ in Wales for years -- why didn't others come to fight him? Oh, that's right, because Hopkins shouldn't have to fly to Wales to fight some dude that nobody ever heard of...

Nobody that is except the MILLIONS of Europeans who have followed his career for years.

Flip the script. Why should Calzaghe come to the US to fight some dude no one ever heard of?

If you're shot, you are shot, be it Hopkins at 43, RJJ at 39 ( only TWO years older than Joe ) OORRRRR Johnson at 39, annd tarver at 40..to blame Joe for waiting till he;s past prime himself, to fight also past prime guys is not the ame as a hungry YOUNG 26 year old fighting 2 past prme in Johnson and Tarver, and now wanting 2 MORE past prime at Hokind and Joe Joe never stooped that low at 26....how can you defend, how can ANYONE defend Dawsons tactics at 26, and then blast Joes' at past prime 36?? Fist of all, raed what I said...Johnson is past it....Hopkins is past...RJJ is past it .. Johnson called out Joe when injured, and marital problems, but my point IS, Joe fought one guy 39, and one 43,,,2 and 6 older, while Dawson fights two guys 13 and FOURTEEN older than him, and that's okay, but Joe is hung??
You have weird ideas on what's what.and what's fair..and if you are a Johnson fan, you'll knw he beat Dawson...This garbage talking down Calzaghe is beneath the average fight fan...And Johnson, though very good, had his hands full with Woods, who incidently, Joe would MOST CERTAINLY beat..so much for that concept
