Joe described his punches in the Hopkins fight as "pitter patter shots" in the Calzaghe - Jones 24/7.

Theres one punch which looked like it landed clearly and with a bit of power, judgeing by hopkins head movement.

Calzaghe Would never stop Hopkins, are u kidding? Hes never even beed badly hurt in his entire career and you think feather fisted JC would stop him? I think not.... Calzaghe did win that fight though... BHOP is a boxing mastermind but could not figure out ol Joe's style...

Bhop vs Pavlik - This guy is simple to figure out! Man lets start showboating and make this entertaining !!!

Bhop vs JC - Wtf is this guy doing? I just can't do anything... well I can clinch I guess.

btw - Calzaghe lunged and clinched a lot during the fight too, so I can't only hate on Bhop for that... thats what happens when you get two awkward smart fighters in the ring together.

If calzaghe had feather fisted punches like a lot of people on here says he has then why didnt all his opponents just walk straight through him and knock him down.

Why are so many Hopkins' fans outraged at Calzaghe admitting to a deliberate low blow in the second round?

Hopkins is the crowned king of dirty tricks in the ring, he was using his head and punching Calzaghe's kidney on the ref's blindside every time he grabbed hold of Calzaghe.

He does it in all of his fights, punching his opponent's hip on the ref's blindside in the hope he will cause an injury to the sciatic nerve.

Hopkins is no angel, he used all of his dirty tricks against Calzaghe and still lost, yet you guys are all crying about a deliberate low blow from Calzaghe.

Could it be you're all seizing on it to hide your embarrassment over Hopkins resorting to such ***** tactics faking the low blow later in the fight?

    I think so :yep

That is a question that they always fail to answer.

Don't know about Hopkins being hurt. But that low blow was 100% bull****. Bernard needed the time.

Socrates you definitely have me mixed up with someone else in this instance, please do trawl as I have never ever ever said I thought Joe won that fight.

However, that is not the issue here at all. On this thread I have not been attempting to prove Hopkins won the night nor am I in any way criticizing Joe Calzaghe, if you check back you will see that this is the case.

However, a poster said earlier that Joe had Hopkins "blatantly hurt". I have watched the fight numerous times and I cannot see Hopkins remotely hurt at any time. If it is indeed so "blatant", then I would like to know the time and round so I can see this for myself? What's wrong in asking that??

    :rofl :rofl :rofl

Yeah because Calzaghe fairs worse against agressive fighters than counter punchers....:patsch

As well as the fact he knocked Calzaghe down with a sneeky counter, and Calzaghe was up at 2 and went straight after Hopkins.

I think this is a good thing, i posted this vid on youtube (shameless self-promotion:nono ) and the discussion flip flopped from P4P matchups to 'they both fought crap' and even 'the creator of the vid trawled through the fight to pick the 10 punches calzaghe landed'. Those of you who bothered to read the description on the vid and the comments know that i only spent a couple of minuites doing the thing. Also i thought hopkins landed the more hurtful punches, just not enough of them. It was a close fight at best, going in favour of calzaghe who was constantly the aggressor.

it'll always stay in square one mate, hopkins fans just can come to terms that the white boy won, fair and square, and have to throw any possible accusation forward. It was a tight fight yes, most fights hopkins is in is, but joe won, joe out thought and out fought hopkins, its simple as. Ok you dont like joe calzaghe, thats fair enough, everyone has an opinion and a rite to support and like who they want, but to keep posting bs posts is just boring. christ it was 6 months ago, it just wont ever stop. I'd love for half of these hopkins fans to be behind one of these 'slaps' coz i know for sure i wouldnt want to face a joe 'slap'
