easily hatton. he fought better compeition and wanted to be on top. calzaghe ***** footed his way to a undefeated record which wont hold much weight historically

Calzaghe is 100x the fighter Hatton was. But I respect both equally. If I was forced to respect 1 guy more, I'd show my respect for Hatton though.

Seems like their are better British fighter coming up like Khan and Macklin, Hatton would be my pick over Calzaghe

Put it like this, if you had to bet your house on one of two options, Hatton coming back to try and regain his 140 pound title from Bradley or Calzaghe coming out of retirement to fight the winner of the super six. The answer would explain why people respect Hatton more than Calzaghe, people KNOW Hatton will fight the best, The same confidence isn't there with Calzaghe.

Definitely Hatton. He ducked no one and fought the best.

Calzaghe was clearly more skilled than Hatton . . . Calzaghe did try and fight the best but he was seen as low reward high risk see the bernard hopkins negotions when bernard was prime . . . Hatton fought the best because he was at the weight class where the best were fighting he escaped the protective cushion of frank the padder warren but came up short . . . . Who do I respect more?? I respect them both equally . . .Hatton because he fought the best and joe because he attempted too fight the best but they decided too avoid him lets not forget joe wasnt the bookies favourite in a some of his fights so he obviously took risks he fought the best that was willing to fight him.

I've been thinking about this one lately. Mainly for the Nazeem Richardson stand point. He told Bernard he was "winning this fight".
