Ummmm...a pretty strong southpaw who keeps coming forward throwing ungodly numbers of punches a round. I'd say decent comparison...

A prime Toney got a contriversial win over Tiberi and was outboxed by Sam Peter.

Toney couldn't rest on the ropes with his hands low and counter someone like Calzaghe. Joe overwhelms him If he rests on the ropes.

Toney should never of been In the 160 and 168 classes, he was too big.

WOW 17 our of 80+ Toney fights....you really are a great boxing enthusiast.

By the way, if you use the word "too" instead of "to" again, you might be sent back to school. Also, if you spell "sentance" wrong again, I might just vomit.

Not only do you think owning 25% of someone's fights matters, you can't spell either. Get an education, then we'll talk. I don't like ignorant shits, they make me sick.

corona, no offence bro, but why are you so desperate to get your opinion across about Toney? Does it matter all that much? As I said, no offence intended, just asking. I don't think you'll be changing anyone else's opinions around here anytime soon.

Firstly, you're speaking of Joe in the past tense - his career may be in it's twilight, but it's not over yet. So the various divisions angle really isn't usable for these purposes.

Secondly, as I said above, I have no doubts that Joe's resume is lesser to Toney's. But Joe hasn't lost - Toney has - there can be no arguement there.

Finally, as for easy competition, I believe this is partially tainted by the fights he has been unable to make because the US didn't know who he was. But any fighter than can go unbeaten for as long as he has, with Eubank (hard as nails) being at one end and Kessler (hard as nails), at the other and do it so convincingly _has_ to command alot of respect.

    Like I said before:

    Resume: Toney
    Prime Fight: 50/50

   Oh ****, shoot me because my spelling in a rush is no good. Great comeback.

:rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl You really expect me to own all the fights, **** that, I pick and choose the good ones I want on my HD. Ive seen next to all of both fighters bouts, yes most of that fat ****s Toneys 80 or so bouts.

I GUARANTEE YOU YOU HAVE NOT SEEN MORE THAN 3 FULL CALZAGHE FIGHTS.

I'm done with you little boy, you're tiresome, & a ****ing ******. You have no class in your arguments, & have entered the lower echelons of ESB's class of ****wits.

    It's not that at all...

Honestly, I like Calzaghe more than anyone here would believe, but I don't think he deserves soooooo much recognition and talk about status until he faces real competition.

To me, a great P4P fighter can jump weight classes, and PRO-ACTIVELY seeks out big fights. Now that JC is closing down his career, he is seeking out big fights, but other than maybe BHOP, I've never seen anything about him calling out great fighters (especially those in their prime).

JC has stuck around in a weak division beating the crap out of weak opposition. Toney has all kinds of flaws (mainly dedication), but his resume and accomplishments outweigh Calzaghe.

Toney defended the title (right after he beat Michael Nunn) 3 times in 6 months. That's pretty impressive.

Hey, what's more important in life??? Being able to speak the language, or being a tough guy on ESB? To you, it would be the latter.

How am I a little boy??? I am the one correcting you dip****.

You're just an online tough guy JC nuthugger, who probably barely made it out of high school. :hi:

Incidentally, I have seen most of JC's fights...but thanks for asking

Cool. I respect your opinion. And thank you for not attacking me for asking questions.

By the way, I might be wrong on this one, but didn't Joe offer to fight with Roy Jones a long time ago, which Jones declined? I think the problem with Joe is the terrible promoter (Warren). I can't really blame Joe himself for not facing the "ultimate" tests.

You got it wrong ******.....It is not vidilant.

You have owned yourself again.

The word I refer to is actually VIGILANT, but 'stay vidulant' is what me and my girl say to each other in her absence, she can not say the word properly.

:rofl :rofl :rofl I can't stop laughing at you, not only are you stupid, you keep owning yourself.

LOOK EVERYBODY, HE TRIED TO CATCH ME OUT AND GOT THE WORD WRONG HIMSELF

    :rofl :rofl :rofl

I don't attack people. I try to keep it to a boxing discussion. I just don't like ignorant shits acting tough online...

But, hell, I respect JC a lot more as a human being. He has been more dedicated to the sport, a better representative of the sport, and something for the UK to be proud of. I just don't think he has accomplished as much as Toney, plain and simple. I don't think he'll go down as a better fighter than Toney...
