Toney. Simply because Toney fought a much better crop of opposition in his prime than Calzaghe.

That's respectable. I wish more people were like that on here. Meanwhile, I just keep adding all the little shitbags to my ignore list.

I learnt a couple of things about Toney in this thread. Peace.

Did you not get what I said in the post? I said it's in the location because that is the way my girl 'says it to me' on the phone. Its meant to be wrong little boy.

I'm actually scared you may be my new ESB stalker, you always retaliate like a little kid to my posts, & then you send me PM's so nobody can witness your stupidity. Why would I tell you where i'm rushing off? Mate, please don't reply to me again, and don't send me anymore PM's PLEASE!!!

Hahaha yes a stalker, you got me. Your head is so far up Calzaghe's ass, there is no point in talking to you anyway.

Your and your "girl" (if she's real) will probably have very dumb children. Good luck raising ******s. PEACE

It's a hard one to call. Toney's resume is way better and his chin is throughly tested. Cal has more speed and moves better. I think James would be too much for JC in the end though. Toney's defense is great and I doubt Calzaghe would be able to breach it. JT by MD. Could be Joe on activity though.

the hypothetical fight would have to take place at 168 as toney has been in this weightclass and calzaghe never fought outside this weightclass.

all we have to base it on is about 5 or 6 toney fights that i can remember where he was in that division

i can remember the barkley/littles/thonton/williams/jones fights

    any i forgot ?

barkely had a name think he beat hearns before hand and had been beaten by benn before he met toney.

    saw all 3 fights .

IMO someone like mgr mgrtchkan from calzaghe`s resume would have ko`d barkely at the stage toney fought him.

littles was a good box/fighter who i thought was talented and i remember toney doing a number on him and he later went on to have a fight of the year with frankie liles where a knockdown was scored with nearly every punch.

    good toney win

thornton was a decent journeyman fighter but that was his level.

williams was a known entertainer and had name recognition but he was never a super middleweight that i can ever remember , but still a good win .

then toney v jones we all would know about.

unless i am forgetting some fights, probably am that was toneys whole career as a 168 fighter.

No offence corono' but from where I'm sat, with my chocolate milkshake, BBC Radio 5 Live and some M&S croissant, telling someone that they've got their head up Joe's ass, the words, "kettle" and "pot" spring to mind.

Both fighters are strong in different areas, but you can't just treat a resume as a fact - yes, it highlights history and gives valuable insight into these strength, but writing off all of Joe's talents at a whim when it's plainly obvious that you do have a pro-Toney agenda - there's still time to change this thread from Top Trumps into something more educational.

    I stick by my opinion: Resume-Toney, PrimeFight-50/50. ;)
