In his weekly column with a local paper Calzaghe says a bout with Kelly Pavlik is unlikely and a bout with Roy Jones JR is more likely to be made. Joe shows admiration for Pavlik in the article describing him as "a breath of fresh air in American boxing." Joe also mentions that his left hand is "out of commission, any one know if Joe broke his hand again during the Hopkins fight?

He's been trying to keep quiet about it - it wasn't broken though.

Clazaghe, "That is a fight that I think can be made, but I am not sure if Pavlik really wants to face me at the moment."

Wrong, Kelly would fight him in an alley.

not much has been said about it but doesn't kelly have a WBC mandatory that he has to take care of by the end of the year?

Well, I'm gutted but still hopeful. Perhaps after Roy Jones.

....and he's also mentioned on a few occasions how he wants to clear up the division and hold all the titles to really prove his undisputed status.

meh, who knows, we'll just have to sit tight and hope for the best.

His (Kelly) next fight does not have to be a mandatory, however the fight after that does. Ie. Rubio

    You've lost me again.

Joe Calzaghe clearly beat Lacy, Kessler, and Hopkins. The last one being a close fight, but it was clearly won.

The guy is unbeaten throughout his whole career, damn right others shouldn't want to fight him. Pavlik should go on his merry way and avoid Joe, because he would be thoroughly outboxed and then he'd have no fans because people here like winners.

And Pavlik has looked in total control of his fights right? Against superior opposition to Calzaghe too right?
