Like you said. We both want to see this fight. But Cal's mouth really got going after BunnyHop got him all revved up. Now accusing Pavlik of not wanting to fight him? Pavlik is the local boy, so I've know about him for years. Went to school with his father, so I'm not new to him. Not that ANY of Cal's fans aren't the most lovable guys. I see this as a close fight. Warren started with 'well, I'd like to see him fight some one that puts pressure on him first'...... right after the Lockett fight. And who would that be at 160? I see AA as the next biggest fight at 160 but he clam shells for 2:30 per round. I kind of knew from that one statement after the Lockett fight that this could be a signal that they wanted nothing to do with Kelly. Joe said one fight and out. So, saying they wanted Kelly to fight a non existent fighter was not a good sign. We shall see.
No dramas Hermit :good Similar to your situation, Calzaghe is a local lad to me, he is from 10 miles or so up the road and I saw him make his pro debut in 93. I, like most fans want to see the fight made and will be bitterly dissapointed if it isn't. That being said, I couldnt hold it against him for fighting Jones IF it is more lucrative.
Actually, he first showed a willingness to common ground, so I took it. Keeps things from degenerating.
Call it what you will sunbeam. My concilitary tone doesn't disguise the fact that I believe Calzaghe would put on a clinic.
Im just playing around trying to stir the pot, Calzaghe could possibly win but, we might never find that out sighhhhhhh
Reading the article i get the impression that he will fight again, after a fight with Jones, so you never kno.
Well, the time is now because Joe will vacate if he doesn't defend. Then if Ole Joe loses to Ole Roy, we will never see this fight. If he beats Ole Roy, he will have diminished the fight by having vacated the abc belts. Less money in that fight as far as TV revenue goes. So, it makes sense for this fight now, before RJJ.
