Pavlik isn't really the skinny guy that we all think of, he's a big middleweight, no doubt about it.
Calzaghe is not skinny, he may have looked skinny next to a guy like Lacy, but who does not look skinny next to that guy in SMW?

Pavlik carries more weight in his bottom half than Taylor did. People look at the two side by side and see the 'ripped' look and think it means something. Yeah, it means Taylor put on VANITY weight. Did some lifting to LOOK good instead of focusing on the muscles that DO good in the ring.

JC does not do weights and **** loads of running so does not look big when compared to othe boxers who do weight work. but liftiung them weights does not help you run around the ring for 12 rounds throwing over 1000 punches

Calzaghe was a heavy favorite against both KEssler and Hopkins

If Calzaghe didnt slap the cornermen probably would have thrown in the towel

I know he was a big favourite against BHop but there was a lot of late money put on BHop. In Britain I think there were a lot of people who thought Kessler was a fight too far for Calzaghe at his age.

I lost alot of money betting on Kessler against Calzaghe. I thought Kessler would be able to catch him coming in, keep Calzaghe on the outside, and outbox him. Who would have thought that Calzaghe would outjab Kessler and be able to potshot him from the outside.

Credit to Calzaghe I underrated him.

But Calzaghe was definately a favorite.

    something like 65/35

I'm Welsh and I've watched Calzaghe since he won the British Title. I thought he would lose to Lacy just from the media hype (I'd never seen Lacy fight). I also thought Kessler would beat Calzaghe, I'd watched a lot of him on YouTube and just thought he would be too much for an aging Calzaghe.
