Calzaghe Proving Again That He Is A Douche Bag

Maybe Calzaghe is butt hurt because if you ask 20 people in the U.S. who he is, not 1 person will know. More like 1 out of 1000.

 

Shut up Joe. If u fought Hopkins and RJJ in their primes you would of changed ur statements!!!

 

Why?He is right,he is good regardless of what americans think of him.He would have given both Roy and Bernard hard fights in their primes and will have beaten both now.

quite frankly...Americans are the biggest critics in the sport...we even criticize our own fighters...Hopkins in the eyes of many still hasnt quite proven himself...Pavlik is being questioned...Mosley...Mayweather...everyone is at the **** end of the stick in America...it is OUR criticisms that usually lead most boxers to do some risky and AMAZING accomplishments because of the desire to prove oneself through and through...
so all you Euro whiny ass bitches need to STFU and just appreciate the criticism and be humble about what you have done because the golden age of boxing is ****IN OVER! and no one can touch the true halls of the legends...

Calzaghe is a great fighter and he is right, alot of yank fighter's are ****ing ignorant.

Look at joes record. He has beaten a plethora of top fighter's over a long period of time, but he still get's no respect. If he was american, he would be a global name but he isn't so he rarely get's credit for what a terrific fighter he realy is!

He has beaten, eubank, hopkin's, lacey, mitchall, brewer, that tall german, and kessler come on - he's an atg surely!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

How many British T.V shows was Mayweather on after he knocked Hatton's ass out? Do people not realize that Hopkins was the same age as Calzaghe is now when he beat Trinidad and finally started to get some recognition from his own country?

 

Butterbean is in his **** a big attraction for the sport. Tyson will ALWAYS be a big attraction. He'll still make headlines in years to come because he's an icon of the sport. Probably 2nd only to Ali in boxing history. Trinidad will always be an attration. De La Hoya, etc etc.

Yes, when a fighter can get headlines in a national paper for a low key sport like boxing then he is good for boxing. I've never once read a headline about Butterbean. Numbers for his fights on HBO are kind of moot, seeing as how he has only begun to establish himself at the tail end of his career.

HBO then paid a $6,500,000 license fee for Calzaghe vs. Bernard Hopkins, which averaged a disappointing 3.9 for the show.

To put these numbers in perspective, HBO also did a 3.9 rating for Jermain Taylor against Kassim Ouma, but paid $3,500,000. And it paid $6,500,000 for Taylor against Winky Wright, but that fight did a 5.9 rating.

 

Its what writers and reporter call 'creative license'....I'm sure I could piece together words that Jones has said over the years and make him seem like farrakhan's older angrier brother.

Imagine what you could do with some of the stuff Hopkins has said over the years.
