    How didi joe dominate ??

There was another champ with a huge list of defenses for the most of Joes career?

true, but he also gets praise for taking fights. good thing calzaghe never had to worry about that. he had his own unique way of building a legacy: sitting at ****ing home and rematching KO victims. that's certainly...different:hat

its hard to build a legacy when hopkins ducked him you american bum ;)

which super middleweights did you want joe to fight and do you view it totally as joes fault that he didn't fight them?

The idea that much of Hopkins career was at LHW is ridiculous. His very first fight at LHW was Tarver in 2006. The vast majority of his fights were at 160 or below. When he fought guys like DLH or Tito, they had already been up around the weights he fought them at. It's not like he forced them to fight him at weights they couldn't handle.

I am certainly no Hopkins fan, but his resume is extraordinary.

    haha, banger we've been over this. canada, say it with me C A N A D A.

there is a long list of smw's that joe could have fought but it wasn't entirely his fault. he just didn't make the effort to get the fights made. some guys do whatever they have to to make the best, toughest fights. calzaghe didn't. if he couldn't get the conditions he wanted, he said screw it. he never went all out to prove he was the best, content to dominate c competition. and yes, you can add roy jones to that critique as well. rjj should have done a little more to get the best fighters in the ring

    Calzaghe beating Hopkins=Hopkins beating Tarver

Winky has never achieved anything at lhw, so I cant give him much credit for that win. (He also in my opinion should of got dqed in that fight) Its the same with Pavlik if he beat him at mw, then yes he should get full credit but how much credit should he get for beating Pavlik at lhw? Pavlik has never achieved anything at that weight class.

There is very little between their 2 resumes when you take everything into consideration.

Hopkins made his pro debut at LHW before moving down to mw, where he had around 20 fights at over the limit weights (SMW) before finally fighting as a full MW

    Hops beat a bum
    Hops beat undisputed middle champ
Hops lost a close fight to undisputed super middle champ
Hops beat undisputed jr middle champ
hops beat undisputed lt heavy champ

And those are the last 5 fights of his career......

NOT to mention is record 20 title defense of the middle crown.....

:patsch Calzaghe is good, but for ****s sake :-(

My bad, but you get my point. The majority of his fights were at/ around 160. There is a lot of people who believe he's had mmost of his fights at LHW.

who was the undisputed super middleweight champ he lost to?

what country did it take place in?

    who referee'd the fight?
