I dont think Joe will be back. He is smart and a man of his word PLUS there is nothing on the horizon for him.

Had Pavlik beat Hopkins id bet my house he would have had one more.

As I said in the brit forum...

Great fighter sad to see him go...

One of my favourite fighters of the last 10 years!

I hope he stays retired now he's made the decision although I would've liked to see him fight one last time in Cardiff...

Fighting is a tough and risky job so respect to him for keeping the hunger for so long!

i'll be very suprised if he does retire, they soon miss the fame and fortune that comes when your fighting in big fights, and very few walk away whilst on top. but saying that you never know. i could see him getting a good offer and coming back at the end of the year. maybe the winner of froch/taylor. we shall see.

As a boxing promoter - do you need a smw fighter? I have one particle in mind (MK), and you as pair "could rock the mecca of boxing"

Very good fighter, could have been great.

I have always been a fan of him as a fighter, complete opposite of him the person.

    However, good call Joe :good

You occupy #7 in my British ATG list.

Hope he sticks to his word but he's not exactly reknown for that is he. Pity that he didn't give his fans one more fight in Wales to round off his career. Even against Woods or Froch.
