"At the end of the day" (as JC like to put it) the result was a split decision. In my book, that calls for a rematch. And although Joe won that fight, he was the only one on his ass. He should give BHOP a rematch, end of story.

  2. Yeah he just didn't bother to chase the big fights.... Clinton Woods got fights with RJJ, Tarver and Johnson but Calzhage couldn't get any.

I will always admit PBF is a superior boxer to Hatton, the guy is awesome

I love Hatton because I am from Manchester and the guy is the peoples champion.

But Floyd is in another league, Cortez was an absolute joke and with Mayweather in his corner and another referee the fight would go the full 12 but I think Pretty Boy would take the UD.

Hopkins finished the fight but shoud have been DQ with the fake low blow and stupid holding, he didnt want to fight.

Anyone who can can Hopkins won the fight needs there head checking, he did nothing all fight. I would have loved to see the Hopkins from the Pavlik or Tito fight against Calzaghe, now that would have been one hell of a fight

Well he is old and spent most of his career fighting in europe. I would have love to see him fight one more time against chad Dawson or rematch with hopkins but he probably knew he wouldn't retire with a 0 on his record if he did that.

Overall pretty good career with solid wins vs mikkel kessler and jeff lacy
Beating a 40 yrs old Roy Jones and 50 yrs old Hopkins wont get him much credit

Behave - Chad Dawson stands NO CHANCE against Calzaghe at all! NONE!!

Hopkins rematch would have been interesting but Hopkins blew his chance by doing **** all in the first fight

Calzaghe came way too late if he wanted to see the hopkins that fought Tito. Calzaghe would have got his azz whoop then that's why he waited til Roy Jones and b Hop are old so he can take advantage of them. :D

Hopkins didn't blow any chance cuz he came back and beat a younger and more powerful kelly pavlik who is on his prime right now. After joe saw that he decided to retire :D

Now move on and get over it. CALZAGHE BEAT HOPKINS, - end of story

I can honestly say I won't miss Joe.

I respected his talent but never was a fan.

I think he got out at the wrong time.

He finally starting to mix it up w/ the top fighters and then........retired.

This nothing to prove line is pure bs.

Prove you're better than Johnson, Dawson, Taylor, Hopkins, etc.

Good fighter, Hof bound, but could do more if he wanted.

    :hi: Joe.

Calzaghe was a great boxer. I am glad to see him go out on such a high note.

    Same sentiment here.

HOF bound but he could have done more earlier in his career.

  13. Yeh thats it.... Eventually got to the top. Then retires, because he doesn't want to lose his 0

Man no one avoided him. He wasn't even big until RJJ was in Light Heavy.

Nothing? it was a close fight and have you forgotten that calzaghe was knockdown in the 1st round? I'm not arguing that he didn't win the fight. I'm just saying b-hop should have gotten a rematch especially after beating kelly pavlik who was supposed to be next in line if he would have won vs hopkins to face calzaghe. :D
