There`s no comparison Kelly is MILES BETTER than Joe. Hell he`s been world champion for 11 months now and Joe`s only been world champion for 11 years.

    The American lunacy continues.

The interviewer ask Joe about his statements that he would fight Hopkins and then only once more. Joe said that was his plan.

The interviewer ask Joe about Roy Jones, and Joe said "Roy was a great fighter, but HE IS NOT a great fighter now.

The interviewer said "So having your last fight against Jones would be a bit of a wet squid."

Joe laughs and says ya, a bit of a disappontment.

    The interviewer asks who then.

And Joe says point ****ing blank "KELLY PAVLIK."

    And then what?

He saw Kelly beat up Gary ****ing Lockett and got scared right? Is this what you are hanging your hat on?

All any reasonable observer can conclude is that Joe likes money and is in essence heading for the rocking chair by going back on his word and taking this fight.

Apart from that, Joe looks great in that video.

    LOL :D

Can't really say I blame him though. Why risk your entire legacy to fight the guy that can spank you back to Kingdom Come when you can go through an easy payday with a shot legend :yep

It's the fight I'd make if I was him and I don't blame Slappy one bit. At least he's shown how smart he is.

Well, we can only pray he comes back to it. I don't hold my breath though. And mad props to him if he does. Takes guts to do it. :bbb

Is this Xavier guy and PACMAN the latest brigade of Calzaghe haters?

To be honest, I have a hard time ever trusting a guy whos name begins with X

If he beats Roy that will be a smart move on his part to retire and if he loses to Roy it will be a smart move on his part to retire. four more wins he'll tie Marciano's record and five more wins he'll beat it. I would kind of like to see him try but can understand if he retires.

I wouldn't go so far as to say I hate Calzaghe... since that implies some personal dislike of the guy... which I don't have since he's too boring for that. :tong

I very strongly dislike his style of boxing though - his punching technique amounts to a flurry of taps or raps that I just can't find enjoyable in a pro boxing match. And the fact that he can score off the judges like that without clean, crisp effective shots just ain't right. I think he's a clever boxer who knows how to win - but I want him to face someone who will really challenge him - as opposed to has-beens or will-never-be's.

He's already fought prospects (and I use prospects lightly here since they were champs in their own right) in Lacy and Kessler, and proven quantities like Eubank and Hopkins.

So really, when you imply he hasn't fought any challenges you are doing more to boost your chances of getting on the Calzaghe Mafia hitlist with your hating rather than appearing objective and a critic of his style.

Why don't you go and ask Joe C yourself why he chickened out from what he previously boasted? Nothing you can say changes the fact that is looks really bad to say **** like that only to go back on it.

First we get Mayweather retiring to avoid a tough fight, DLH looking for the easiest final fight, and now the same w/ Calzaghe. Can understand w/ DLH and Mayweather (both money hungry pricks)....but I actually thought Joe C was different.

    No, he's not different.

And why should he be? Soon as beats Pavlik the critics will be onto the next guy, Dawson or whoever.

People just don't like him, thats all it is :yep
