Calzaghe says he will retire after RJJ: the ultimate ducking move against Pavlik?

So if Pavlik declines an offer it`s not ducking but if Calzaghe declines an offer it IS ducking!!

 

JC is a great fighter. He does not deserve to be called a bum. A belt holder who had won several mandatories can't be called a bum.

He is old. Let him retire. Otherwise AA would knock him out sooner or later
(I know I am probably the only one who believes that).

I am really happy with JC's decision, because now we hopefully will see Pavlik vs. AA in 1st quarter 2009.

 

Let's see the details of these so called offers. Also, as I stated, the timing is suspicious at best.

No what I like is the shitload of excuses for pavlik for turning down the fight twice. You conveinetly point out all the circustances as to why he didn't have to take the fight but throw joe to the wolves becuase who he chose to fight . What his circustances don't apply because of who he is ??

It selective hate ! He turned him down 2 times ! So kelly gets the pass because what he's the new flavor of the month ? Bull**** .. I'm glad this informaton was brought to lite so all the people who rip joe for opting to fight jones can take a look at all the facts surrounding these two so that the blame can lie with pavlik as well !

 

Joe Calzaghe ....... was also asked about Wladimir Klitchko, he responded in that he fought a better fighter in Bernard Hopkins. In his exact words, Calzaghe said, "Wlady? It's like deja-vu. I was asked the same about Bernard-who I think is a better fighter than Wlady Klitchko, by the way- and I've beaten him."

 

We need some supporting evidence of these offers.

 

He will be 37 years old, how long does he has to keep fighting to prove himself. He is not ducking anyone. He has been a champ for over a decade, he won every belt at 168, he just beat the lineal champ at 175.
If it wasnt Pavlik, it would be someone else that he would be accused of ducking. He would be completely right to retire after the Jones fight.

 

It is somewhat dissappointing to see Calzaghe take this route.

He deserves a little critism, but not a lot given the stage of his career he is at.

 

But he won't duck enough RJJ punches to suffer his first loss !!

Of course he does lets see where Pavlik is at the end of his career ..Im sure he will try to cash out no diffrent than Joe or anyone else for that matter .

 

Difference is Pavlik is 10 years younger than Calslappy and has already taken more risks than Calslappy ever did, and has come through every time. They're in difference leagues, Pavlik is a real fighter, Calslappy is a ****.
