you dont know **** about what goes on behind those scenes.

I think Joe has even said that he offered Pavlik a fight after Lacy who wanted nothing of it.

Oh and ELL OH ELL at people on here talking like Pavlik is the second coming of ****ing Jesus Christ because he is good at the fundamentals. Wow, a boxer with good footwork, stamina and a strong punch - nobody has EVER had those credentials before have they? **** me.

JC runs rings around Pavlik from round 4-12 and picks up a UD. Near carbon copy of the Kessler fight no doubt.

According to Joe there were 2 offers made and Kelly turned them down...And I also believe that Joe will box circles around Pavlik...Kelly showed great fundamentals against Taylor but Taylor opted to brawl with him Joe is not that reckless unless he knows he's figured out his opponent ..

Well, let's take a look at these alleged offers. The first one would have been after Pavlik had beaten Zuninga? So, Pavlik would have NO one of note on his resume at that point? Why would Joe be making him an offer at that point? Pavlik was 160. This only gives fodder to the guys claiming Joe was padding his resume. And where are the people, well mainly Kessler supporters, claiming Kelly STILL hasn't EARNED a shot at Calzaghe? :huh And the second one would have been made when he was OBLIGATED to a rematch with Taylor? Nice time to make an offer when you KNOW it can't be accepted. And why was none of this brought up until NOW? And were these alleged offerers serious? That could have been for $100 for all we know. I think we need WAY more evidence and facts before we put ANY weight into this. After all, Joe has not been the most reliable mouth of late.:deal

Nice try to avoid the Joe double speak. NOW he claims he is doing Pavlik a favor by not fighting him, yet he is also NOW saying he made him offers in the past?:huh Bernard brought out the worst in Joe when it comes to talking BS I think. He thought he had to match Bhop in the verbal game. Joe had best learn to shut up or at least tone it down some, like before Bhop got him revved up. :deal

I doubt Joe would say anything that is untrue. If he said he made Pavlik an offer, he probably did, we have no reason to not believe him. He probably wrote it in his diary so he didn't forget.

I'll grant you they probably did make offers. But what kind of offers. What would they want with Kelly, who was 160, after his Zuninga fight? Who was Kelly at that point that Joe would be offering him a shot at his 168 belt? I would have to think it was some unreasonable low ball offer trying to pad his resume on someone that had yet to be tested. Personally, I have NO idea if Kelly would have been ready for that step at that time. Joe was certainly betting he wasn't. And after Palvik/Taylor 1? We know Kelly couldn't accept the offer because of the rematch clause. And now he says Kelly isn't in his league? You are skipping over quite a bit in your response.

Who cares about all the semantics?

If Calzaghe made him an offer worth 2 bucks and a packet of "Miracle Grow" hair treatment he should have taken it. He would have had nothing to lose and everything to gain.

    Pavlik obviously ducked him :deal

I'm convinced that Calzaghe doesn't know what he's going to do. He's gone back and forth on the possibilities of retirement and a potential matchup against Pavlik far too many times for me to believe that this is his final decision. And if Jones happens to win to fight, I ask could their be a rematch? :think

Everyone has a so called reliable mouth...So because at the time Pavlik in your eyes was not ready he had every right to turn down the fight.:huhLike I said before how much more ready is he now with beating Taylor?
His Only real test up until this point?

And you mentioned the fact that the 2nd offer would have been made when he was
    obligated
to fight Taylor??The fight happened just under super middle and was a non title..

What obligation did he really have to fulfill? He could of dropped the strap and fought Joe...Why is it that you don't think outside the box? Why is he fighting Hopkins now at 170? Really come one now come with something better as to why he really turned him down twice! The only evidence I see that you follow is what comes out of team Pavlik.
