Morning chaps With JC splitting from 'ol Fisheyes to earn himself a few extra pennies for the pension fund, i was wondering if people thought this was a major mistake from Calz? Would the added pressure, time and hassle of promoting himself against RJJ lead to him take his eye off the ball in terms of concentration and training in the run-up to the fight? Surely its bound to effect his focus and this is where i think choosing Roy over Pavlik is a mistake - Roy knows all the tricks and will punish him for it. I know its all about the $$$ but surely hes bitten off more than he can chew? atsch

he is going to retire after jones .so needs to plan a future.he can pick up and promote big mac,rees,price,lockett for starters plus he has a high chance of picking up more boxers including outside the uk with the record he has. he called pavlik out several times with no reply and when he said he was going to fight jones in his last fight pavlik wants to fight him all of a sudden.so too late pavlik i say.warren was probably trying to get him to fight pavlik as well as jones knowing pav is an easy fight for him and joe is just sticking to his guns.
exactly its weird how we discussed JC calling out pavlik 7-8 months ago and all we heard was SILENCE from pavlik camp (knowing they needed to at least keep their title and it was to high risk) and now that joe is 36 and coming to the end of his career SUDDENLY we have the pavlik camp all over the press saying calzaghe is ducking etc, well pavlik you had your chance and to be honest even if you faught Joe i canot see you winning -calzaghe UD all day long (and i am a pavlik fan)
