Joe should consider the following schedule before he retires. This will cement his legacy and maximize his earning power.

    1) Roy Jones in November in Cardiff. Calzaghe should stop Roy late.

    2) Kelly Pavlik in the Spring of 2009 in New York's MSG. Calzaghe should clearly outpoint Kelly. Kelly's come forward style is made for Joe.

    3) Rematch Bernard Hopkins in Summer of 2009 in Cardiff. Calzaghe should win by a wide points margin.

All these fights would pack arenas and be great for boxing and for Joe.

Shot Roy Jones and rematching an even older B-Hop is what you call cementing a legacy?

    i reckon

    roy jones

    winner of dawson vs tarver

and finish with a more mature pavlick who has upped his p4p status.

then joe would be a legend!!

If Joe had 3 fights left and I could get to choose them, i'd pick in order, Dawson, Erdei and then Pavlik. That cements his legacy and makes him quite a few bob.

B-Hop needs to be shut up.

Jones would be a big money event.

Nice! I'd like Jones to be his last fight though. He should do Pavlik next.

    Late 2008: Roy Jones Jr
    Early 2009: Chad Dawson
Late 2009: Kelly Pavlik or Antonio Tarver

Enough with fights having to be in the states. Saturday night proved that it is hard to get more than 15,000 people in an arena in the states, even for great fights.

Calzaghe has proven he can win in the USA.

Let them fight where they can fill stadiums.

Yes, but Erdei is undefeated and lineal champ. He even has the WBO strap that Joe is so fond of:D Now if Jones was to travel to Hungary and pimp slap Erdei while Joe beats Dawson, it would make it even better:deal

Why the **** does anyone want to see RJJ fight Calzaghe? That is absurd... Jones is obviously a shot fighter (**** whatever the fanboys say) and everyone accepts that. Your only excuse is that it would make Joe a lot of money? Who gives a ****, doesn't he have enough?

100% agree. He doesn't need to fight BHop again.

Roy = big payday and making up for not having fought years ago
Winner of Dawson/Tarver = most deserving challenger
Pavlik = mega fight between two unbeaten champions (assuming KP keeps winning and cleans out 160), maybe at a catch-weight?
