Here's what I wanna see Calzaghe do:

    1) I wanna see him fight Hopkins in a rematch. If he could beat Hopkins decisively, I'll be convinced. Hopkins isn't in his prime no more but he's still formadable and if Calzaghe beat him without any controversy, I think we'll have our answer of his greatness. He got a gift decision against Hopkins by the skin of his teeth and if he feels he can do much better, than why not prove it. It'll shut up all the critics about their previous fight.

    2) Fight Chad Dawson. I know people are gonna say he already beat undefeated fighters in Kessler and Lacy but Dawson is a lot better than both those fighters and would present a better challenge to Calzaghe. Beating a shot Roy Jones(which I already knew he would do and picked him in that fight) doesn't prove anything. It's almost equlivant to Lennox Lewis beating a shot Tyson or Marciano beating a shot Louis. Doesn't prove anything. If he beat Dawson he could say he's best fighter of his era and could even boast about it because Roy Jones and Hopkins in their prime hasn't fought a fighter as talented as bad Chad and it would silence everybody. Even the Calzaghe haters would have to bow down. I would love to see it and if he doesn't give B-Hop a rematch than he needs to fight Dawson. Everybody would pay to see it and watch to see if Calzaghe passes the test.

    3) Fight both Chad Dawson and Hopkins and if he beat both of them that would make him even better and probably one of the greatest p4p fighters of all time if he was to do that. Either 1 or 2, or both would be good and if he's really that great like he claims and his die hard fans do, than he should take those fights. Mayweather had a chance to prove how great he really was when he had Marg, Cotto, and Williams and retired for whatever his reason was and now it's a similiar situation with Calzaghe.

    any thoughts?

**** the rematch with Hopkins. I'd like to see Calzaghe fight Dawson, but I don't think it will happen.

Calzaghe needs to fight Hopkins again. There is unfinished business there. There is no interest in the Dawson fight.

But he may still fight for higher top #ATG ...

say he needs to beat Dawson to enter top 40 (that is necessary requirement).

.... then Taylor (if he beat Kessler) for top 30 and probably the
next winner of (Hopkins/Abraham/Pavlik) to crack top 20 ATG.

He may skip the Taylor and Hopkins going straight for winner of
Cunnigham/Adamek to crack top 15 ATG or

.... skip all of that to fight Haye if he beats Vitaly to enter top 10 ATG.

... or the easier path, just beat winner of DLH/PAC to enter top
30 ATG and then enter top 10 by beating Hatton in mega UK fight.

This might prove he's great to you, but there will always be doubters, and I mean always. Lennox Lewis was criticized like hell throughout his entire career, and now he is revered.

This is why if he's happy with what he's done, and has no motivation, he should just go ahead and retire and historians will decide.

You know Hatton walks around 175 on the daily basis?
