well that was a split decision and depedning how people scored it i can see an argument for either way.

but to be honest that fight was pretty irrelevant wasnt it?

it should have happened 8 years ago and what do you think would have happened then based on what happened this year?

There was more controversy over the Dawson vs Johnson decision than there was over the Calzaghe vs Hopkins decision.

That rematch needs to happen before anything else.

Have you seen the fight and did you have Hopkins winning?

Why was it irrelevant when Hopkins is being lauded on here for going on to beat Pavlik?

I think Calzaghe would still have beaten Hopkins if the fight had taken place 7/8 years ago.

Remember, Hopkins was the one who priced himself out of this fight back then.

Dawson does not hit harder than Kessler......

Dawson needs to fight Glen J again,he's not ready for Calzaghe-far,far from it. His fans will say he is cos there desperate for someone that can beat Joe but when Joe beats him,the same **** will get spouted'' he wasn't proven, bla bla bla bla bla''

If Joe's fighting on,i say make it against bhop or Glen J .

If he does retire then he's still a legendry fighter

The probability of a prime RJ knocking out Calslappy pre-Tarver is very likely - ratio between 50-70%. RJ no longer possesses the lightning hand speed, reflexes, timing and moderate power, yet an obviously faded RJ with a fraction of the speed and agility put Calslappy on his ass with little effort. Yet you believe RJ wouldn't KO Calslappy during anytime in his career? :rofl

Am happy I made you chuckle.

There was a good thread in the Classic forum the other day. Good argument for both sides, I just edge Calzaghe.

Man, I'll never pick Joe over Toney. Toney would have a better chance to KO Cal than Jones. Calzaghe has no punch that can ever hurt Toney, Toney would walk through this guy

When has Calzaghe ever looked close to being KOd?

Oh, that's right, you wouldn't know, because you've only seen him fight Hopkins and RJJ.

You also didn't look closely at the RJJ KD - it was the forearm to the nose that dropped Calzaghe, and he got up pretty quick, despite being badly buzzed - as you would expect - from it.

    New list:

    spam raFail
    Can I bust? 81
    Semen Flow

How do you get such high probability figures when Roy never stopped a A class fighter and Calzaghe's never been stopped!?

No, No, No, your just very bias when it comes to discussing Calzaghe and you'd probably pick him over any fighter his size in the history of the sport.
