**Calzaghe Splits With Warren**

When I say hyped I mean his managment is constantly talking about him fighting other fighters.2 weeks ago they said they were looking at fighting Kessler or Abraham now that they have fought last week they are talking about Calzaghe because he is in the news,who ever is in the news Pavliks managment talk about him fighting that person.It hype to keep people like you talking about him.Abrahm is the obvious fight for him right now but after the weekend they have not mentioned him or Kessler,strange!!

 

No, the only reason that the pavlik camp wants joe is because joe is acting as if he only has one fight left in him. If thats the case pavlik wants it and Joe wants no part of him.

 

People seem to forget that Pavlik calling out Calzaghe is worse than Calzaghe calling out Jones in terms of age difference and trying to set up a fight with a fading fighter!
Whats Pavlik...28? And he wants to fight Calzaghe who is 36...showing signs of decline....not much difference between that and Calzaghe calling out RJJ (well actually RJJ was calling out Joe).
The same hyprocisy that people blame Calzaghe for, Pavlik is doing exactly the same thing, instead of going after Joe he should step up and fight someone who would give him the hardest fight at his own weight....Abraham!
Calzaghe is seen by Pavlik as a natural target after his last showing which was recognised as poor even though he was fighting Bhop, he should insist on fighting Abraham.
I would rather see Calzaghe fight Pavlik too because I still think he has too much for Pavlik in ring savvy.

 

Yeah right 2 weeks ago it was Kessler and Abraham,now those 2 are available for negotiations they want Calzaghe,lol.They are just trying to make Pavlik a bigger name than he actually is by hanging on other fighters coat tails.Its just hype.

 

Like I originally said--if pavlik is hyped what does that make joe?

 

need to point out a few flaws,

obviously kessler vs calzaghe was going to get more views than pavlik vs lockett, calzaghe's fight was a unification fight, most people thought it was the first test if his carrer because he had been fighting **** fighters. and calzaghe vs kessler started at 2am, so it suited americans and brits, but pavlik vs lockett started at 4ish.

and roy jones aint going to go to SMW, the fight will be at a catch weight of around 170-172.

who gives a **** whether jones or pavlik is coming to the U.K. pavlik would easily out sell roy jones, people would just look at both there records and easily see that pavlik is the better fighter.

and what does beating roy jones mean, you beat a washed up fighter, similar to eubank, and if anyone knows anything about boxing then they won't say that pavlik "was never that good" or "too green", he has just beaten jermain taylor twice, and thats more than what calzaghe can say.

pavlik can wait for the abraham fight, but he can't wait for the calzaghe fight, as calzaghe is trying to run and retire like a girl.

 

Pavlik was mentioned as a possibility ..Fall back ...Pavlik has just been called out by double A he should be worried about him !

Nuthuggery at its finest !! Pavlik would out sell Jones ?Really not even the people who live in Youngstown beleive that !

 

It's truely a shame Calzaghe didn't split with Warren 10 years ago.

Calzaghe's not driven enough to get out there and make the big fights himself a la David Haye.

If he had left Frank Warren ten years ago I really don't believe he would have fought anywhere near the calibre of fighters that he has.

 

i really can't believe that calzaghe is only fighting once more. talk is cheap, and when/if he fights/beats jones, he'll want another huge payday and the only other fighter is pavlik. so i'd be surprised if he doesn't fight pavlik.

 

By that time Double A will have smoked Pavlik !

 

The P4P number 2.Which considering how underated and hated he was in America is no mean feat.
