With Calzaghe having the biggest fight of his career coming up, I'm not surprised at all that he made the remarks he did.
He should now drop the subject and not comment any further until after the Kessler fight. He's going to have his hands full with that and doesn't need to be stroking Hopkin's and De La Hoya's egos by engaging in a back and forth debate on whether him and Bernard will fight or not.

Not sure who would win this fight honestly. Joe's definitely the favorite, but you can't rule out Hopkins. Even at 42 years olds, he's still one of the smartest fighters out there. I'm sure most of you thought Winky was going to beat him.

In all honesty Joe needs Hopkins more than Hopkins needs Joe. If you think about it Hopkins will go down as the far greater fighter if their careers where to end today (there's now arguing that so I don't see why we are on that subject). So there goes that answer.....lets move on to a better subject like how the fight would go down if it materialized.:p

Nobody needs a boring fighter like Hopkins!

I would rather see a rematch between Kessler and Calzaghe, because I know it will be very entertaining.

Bernard "Continuesly Holding" Hopkins is boring and should retire right away.

I dont think Hopkins would do mutch for Joe's legacy, so I would rather see him face the man who've beaten hopkins 2x times (even tho it was close fights).

To me Joe is the most unbeatable fighter in boxing today (yes over mayweather). He's been ducked by more people than anyone else I can think of in the last 10 years and rightly so, if any boxer wanted to keep his 0 in the loss column. Now Joe is getting the big fights and will more than likely(again my opinion) beat kessler very convincingly. He will be on a higher Tier than Hopkins at that point in time and will be able to call the shots.

You see fellas, boxing brings out the most diverse of opinions, I totally disagree with this post yet it makes sense in some ways....ironic :think

Even if Joe beats Kessler he will not even be close to Hopkins tier....in terms of legacy I think Hopkins is light years ahead of Joe yet Joe is a solid fighter with great legacy as well.

Hopkins to me is someone who made his name off of blown up welterweights and an overrated Light heavy.....While i respect his accomplishments i have never really been a fan of his.......
