looking at the thread in hindsight , calzaghe went on to beat kessler in front of 50000
and the hopkins fight would have been bigger in the uk , but calzaghe agreed to fight in the states , so he went against his own words.

hopkins next fight was against pavlik who the gassing 40 something took to school in a 1 sided fight and one of hopkins best ever performances.

so while old in boxing terms cakzaghe beat the number 1 light heavy ranked in the world in 2008 in hopkins.

It is great to think a shot, bloated brittle handed Calzaghe beat up a prime Hopkins at his weight in his back yard in a 9 round thrashing.

Hopkins went on to produce his best performances and against people in his weight classes, not blown up ww's like he did earlier in his career. Hopkins really came into his prime against Calzaghe and enjoyed a few years at the top of his game

 

Hopkins got schooled BAD! Hopkins looked like a 5 fight novice fighting a true Master. Then after he lost to Calzaghe, somehow Hopkins is good again. An old Calzaghe made Hopkins look like trash.:yep

 

Until you can comprehend that different boxers deteriorate at different ages, my inspections and wisdom are wasted on you.
