All the insinuation that Pavlik would KO Hopkins was ridiculous. Team Pavlik got punked, and that's coming from a big Pavlik fan.

 

I like Calzaghe as a gentleman, but he sounds like a ****ing coward talking like that. He can't do what Hopkins can do - the whole world saw that when they were in the ring together.

 

He'd have beaten Pavlik up just the same.

I dont think he looked relieved as much as he was trying not to laugh and come off bad.......I dont understand how people think Hopkins won........Joe totally made him look bad and the Pavlik fight is proof.....As far as Pavlik i and many others on here have said all along that Kelly would have been humiliated by Joe and from what i saw Saturday probably probably even stopped because the punch output would have been even higher......:rasta

Yeah, and the whole world was in overwhelming agreement that Joe won the fight and that it should've been unanimous. I'm not sure how you can say you won a fight when all you do is hold and don't mount any type of offense.

Fact is, I highly doubt Joe would be getting the praise that Bernard is getting right now if he would've opted to fight Pavlik instead of Roy and Lacyied him. Instead of chanting GOAT, all the haters like yourself would be the first ones on the Pavlik was over-rated bandwagon and then start accusing Joe of ducking RJJ. Its really rather pathetic. And FYI- I was one of the only people that thought Hopkins would not only box Pavlik's socks off, but KO him in less than 6. I guess I was wrong on that.

Funny you should say that. Years ago, I was one of the very few Mayweather and calzaghe fans on this board. Their bullshitting was what started my dislike of them.
