Tysons record boast far more impressive wins then calzaghe. Like lightyhears ahead of calzaghes.

    Pathetic

Honestly, imagine if Slappy was fighting the Hopkins the fought Johnson or Trinidad, his ass would have been lucky to see the second round.

honestly, imagine if old man river, aka cream of wheat man, aka boring old *******, aka old snaggletooth, aka assitant shoeshine boy at GBP headquarters, aka oscar's driver was fighting the calzaghe that fought lacy or mitchell, his ass would have been lucky to see the second round.

Im talking about a decade man, not freaking 24 months. Please, another delusional Calzaghe fan.

Does it ****. He lost every time he fought a top fighter, and even times when he wasn't.

If anything, his losses to unheralded fighters should just illustrate to you the achievement in consistency and longevity that is the marvel of Joe Calzaghe :happy

because stating that bernard hopkins a man not well known for his early knockout ability at this level and has 5 stoppages this decade would stop a man who's never been stopped or looked close to getting stopped in a couple of rounds is the peak of brilliance right?

Yea he achieved so much, he consistenly fought nobodys and over the hills to increase the longevity of his career and title reign. What a marvelous waste of a career.

what was so outlandish about my opinion? is it so crazy to think a man who relies massively on his stamina, foot and hand speed at the age of 36 is not quite hitting peaks he once did?

One of Tyson's best wins is against an over the hill, the other a LHW, if we are playing the old discrediting game

Yet we are supposed to let him off against Lewis/Holyfield because he was past prime himself :nut

Or what about when he lost in his prime, against an infinity to one underdog?

Yet again, this should illustrate it isn't as easy as you make out to remain undefeated over 45 fights, against solid competition at the least.

Calzaghe has slowed notably since manfredo, and his power has gone since his early days. (maybe due to the hand problems and a stylistic change as he has aged.)
Calz is definately past prime physically...

Yea man quit twisting things, thats exactly what you implied. And i was talking about Hopkins from 10 years ago not hopkins right now you ass.

And of course he wasn't close to getting stopped, look at his opposition.

    he was.

that was the greatest version of calzaghe that ever set foot in the ring.

i think joe bought into the "old man" stuff himself leading into the hopkins fight and almost paid the price.
