Yeah right . . . is that's why JC is fighting the OLD RJJ ? :rofl

JC wouldn't even dream of fighting these guys in their prime that's the sad truth. He doesn't even want to have any part of Pavlik now. :deal

Hopkins asked for double the purse after agreeing to fight JC. The truth hurts.

    Pavlik is a club fighter.

Honestly mate, I'm not saying I am an Eddie Futch style boxing Zen Master, but you truly don't know **** if you believe:

There are no legitimate arguments to as why he is not in the league, or greater than Sugar Ray Robinson

There are so many things wrong with your post I really don't know where to start. It would take too long, be too much effort, and probably prove ultimately futile to explain what utter utter garbage you are talking.

So I'll leave you with a couple of points to think about:

Sven Ottke (34-0) retired undefeated after a long reign at supermiddleweight. His resume includes wins over Glen Johnson (better than Lacy and Kessler IMO), two-time world champion Silvio Branco, Anthony Mundine (better than Lacy), and Calzaghe opponents Brewer, Mitchell and Reid. OK, so Calzaghe has titles at 2 weights and longevity in his favour over Ottke, but by your non-sensical logic, he should be ranked alongside Hearns, Hagler and Chavez, if you think Joe is up there with Robinson and Armstrong. Have you ever seen Ottke fight?? Then you will know this is laughable.

Don't fixate on statistics like number of defences made and years unbeaten, it is the names on the resume that make the fighter.

He has held the most credible title at 168 for an infinite period of time - Of course the WBO title is the least credible of the major 4 titles.

He looks as good in the ring as any fighter in history (remember that was past prime Calzaghe against Lacy) -
Anyone can look good v a suitable and unproven opponent like Lacy, or the barely adequate opposition Calzaghe fought from 1997-2006

Just tell me: what opponents and what fights make Joe Calzaghe worthy of comparison with Robinson? The mere idea is LUDICROUS. I'm embarrassed for you.

Pavlik is a bum. Jones and Toney ducked Benn and Eubank in the 90`s and Jones is only reluctantly getting in the ring with JC for a payday.

Did Toney want any part of Benn when he was "in his prime" :hi:

The fighter makes the belt not the other way around. If you can`t understand that then you know nothing about the sport. Kessler held the WBA/WBC belts but everyone knew Calzaghe was the world champion. It`s not rocket science Pacfan.

Yeah just like Lacy was gonna beat up on JC and Mclellan was gonna beat up on Benn. LOL!! :hi:

I'm not disputing that at all, but the fact is the guy said he held the best belt there was. It isn't. He didn't. Simple as that. If anything, the fact that Calzaghe held the least credible of the 4 belts but was still clearly the best guy in the division is a positive factor in my estimation of Calzaghe, it's not a criticism, just a fact. But that one point alone is a side-issue, a correction for correction's sake, I've already made my feelings clear earlier on this abysmal thread.
