Compubox (stats) means very little, but if you want to take it as gospel.

    punches landed
    reid 220
    calzaghe 214

    Punch percentage landed to thrown
    reid 44%
    calzaghe 34%

It was 2002, not 2004 and Oscar was not on BHop's radar.

Joe agreed to go to the US and Bernard's camp agreed on $3M as the purse. Bernard backed out.

    As Showtime's VP tells it:

So no more **** about Joe being unwilling to travel to Uncle Sam's fair land. Bernard backed out of the fight when both were prime, and the fight was slated for the States.

When the fight finally got made, Calzaghe allowed Bernard a US location, a US referee and three US judges ( who scored the fight 9:3, 8:4 and 6:6)

What don't you like about the presumed resume concept?

Floyd never fought Junior Witter, but he would have beaten him.

Tito never fought Micky Ward, but he would have beaten him.

Tyson never fought Briggs, but he would have beaten him.

I think ChinaHand's concept is a novel one and should have more consideration.

Maybe it needs beefed up, some in the rigour department, but it's certanly a good starting point.

Thank you... Joe is 44-1, possibly 43-2... Going by Calzaghe's fans criteria.

Sadly for you, most people who know what their talking about will rate Toney over Joe C... Actually, talking about people KNOWING what their talking about, EVERYBODY would.

The point is, even in shape and at his prime, I would pick Calzaghe by UD.

Yeah yeah yeah in years :D . . . how about what the guy has accomplished before?

Fact is Calzaghe will still be starched by this slob even now. :deal

Your greatest fighter in 25 years claim doesn't hold any water . . . he can't even make it as the top p4p fighter up to this point where he is already talking of retirement.
