Calzaghe - The Greatest Light Heavy Ever?

Joe Calzaghe is not only the best Light heavyweight of all-time, greater than those old-schools bums like Sam Langford, Gene Tunney, Ezzard Charles, Michael Spinks, Archie Moore, he is also the greatest heavyweight of all-time. He slapped to death a prime Roy Jones Jr., who beat the legendary John Ruiz, and John Ruiz almost beat Nikolai Valuev, who is the biggest heavyweight ever. :deal

In the last 3 years there was no legitimate LHW contender fighting for the Ring LHW belt .... Hopkins, Wright, Calzaghe, today's Jones ... soon there will be Pavlik, Taylor, DLH and PAC

Calzaghe hasn't proven he is dominant is the current LH division let alone all time. He could claim current supremacy if he beat Dawson - 2 belt holder who has actually beaten other ranked LH's himself. Hopkins was a good win - Ring champion but Jones doesn't really figure in the pecking order anymore.
JC hasn't really proved himself above the top ranked contenders - he's just leapfrogged them on the back of one genuine ranked opponent and one not so genuine anymore. No one can call themselves 'dominant' in any division when there's another undefeated guy holding two of the belts.
I think JC beats Dawson but what I (or anyone else) thinks would happen doesn't change the fact that is hasn't happened. I really think JC should take Dawson in Cardif for one last fight. That way he's the top current LH from any angle proven by opponents and belts.

Víctor Galíndez, Michael Spinks, Antonio Tarver, Glen Johnson, Bob Foster, and Roy Jones Jr have accomplished way more than Calzaghe. I would say even Julio Gonzalez accomplished more at LHW.

 

All he could handle? Even that's a testament to how unbelievably overrated Joe's been getting. Conteh would've given him an ass-whooping at LHW.
