    pretty good showing...

    actually his hooks were pretty good in the start but his technique started to severely fail as he turned up the volume. Anyhow the hooks that got Mitchell in trouble in the first place had great speed and good connection. He can bring around those short hooks very fast, though they're more arm-punching than loading up...

    Sky trying to convince us Mitchell could not continue - it was obvious he could


    Joe even stared right to the ref in there encouraging the all too familiar Uk ref stop fight early routine

    Part 2 looks to have done its job. People already calling for Calzaghe the KO Specialist Part 3.

    Sky actually called the Mitchell stoppage premature. BTW. The commentator said Mitchell should have been given a chance while he bounced off the ropes.

    Calazghe is grossly under rated he was a great technician and an all time great. History will treat him well, he will go down as the greatest 168lbs fighter ever. Joe was no joke and he beat both Jones and Hopkins.

    Yes and Berbick beat Ali so what???
    And history wont treat him well at all, if Ward beats Bute and few other good fighter and stays undefeated 10 more fights everyone will rate him above Joe.

    Anyone who's greatest wins are over a shot ATG and a 43 year old HOF'er, will not be looked at as kindly through history as you think.

    Fantastic video showing Calzaghe beat arguably Americas best SMW of the decade

    Do you think it would be fair to call B Mitchell as Americas best SMW of decade?
    2 time WBA SMW champ
    He beat #1 Liles (something Ward is praised for doing) by KO
    drew with future 2 weight champ Girard
    beat Siaca twice who went on to become WBA SMW champ who beat Mundine
    beat former MW champ JC Green who beat a prime Joppy before Joppy was beaten by Trinidad or Hopkins.

    Mitchell only lost by SD to Ottke and was only ever beaten clearly once as a SMW, bt Calzaghe.

    Saying Mitchell could possibly be Americas best SMW of the decade might not be far wrong.

    Consider how now Froch has only won vacant world titles and never beaten a fighter who has achieved much at SMW. Mitchell has a better resume than Froch.
