it has been widely reported today, on skysports, as well as multiple boxing websites, including the scene, that Joe Calzaghe has announced his intention to return to the ring, to face Bernard Hopkins, in a rematch....

what are your feelings of this return, would it benefit boxing, and, should it happen, who do you feel would be the victor this time round, considering hopkins seems to have had a dazzling spell of a few fights since facing Calzaghe...

not worth coming out of retirement for. no need to beat on Hopkins for the 2nd time. unless he is working towards Bute or Dawson I don't see the point.

Hopkins is breaking records for fights that shouldn't happen.

In fact, the weight division as a whole is breaking records.

typical calslappy fraud avoid an actual dangerous fight and take on another washed up fighter you already beat. he is an all time fraud if i have ever seen one.

everyone keeps saying calzaghe was calling out jones and hopkins...i dont see any evidence of that.....EVER in fact prior to their actual fights, which was built up on economic incentive more than anything

in fact, calzaghe's first fight in the states was AGAINST hopkins, lol

i would be quite moritified, if anyone with a level of astute boxing knowledge, would deny that a peak, on form Jones, would have not just dealt with Calzaghe, but would have beaten him, with ease...and I would say the same thing about B Hop...

The greatest attribute Joe had was his great fighting heart, he had the heart of a lion, as for his skills...far too overrated:rasta

Calazghe beats Hopkins at any stage of his career, RJJ is another question and would have been an interesting fight.

no chance, Hopkins should have beaten Joe the first time round, but fought far too negatively, instead of using his far superior boxing skills.

thats why I , for one, dont mind this rematch

Hopkins is high risk low reward. He's better off fighting Bute, or Jermain Taylor. It's a bad idea to take Hopkins on after a long layoff.
