Il be very honest.I didnt see anything there that was impressive.Iv seen Mosley RJJ on the doubled end bag and that was extremely impressive. What Joe did there is not better than what an average boxer can do.Even i can hit the double end from a southpaw stance with the same accuracy Joe showed in that clip.

As for his pad work again it was fairly ordinary.He was only juking and posing for the press and the work out was more a media workout than a proper workout for Joe. Im pretty sure when his in the trenches his pad work has to be way better than that.

 

Agreed. I've seen Calzaghe train properly and he doesn't smile I can tell you that much. In fact, he's a moody *******. This is all **** for the media which he seems to do well these days.

 

Scurla's not disappointed. He's basically saying Joe was pretty much coasting through this session.

 

Calzaghe is fast... but a lot of the speed you see on that vid is merely Enzo tapping on Calzaghe's gloves. When he throws fully extended punches he's much slower.

Exactly.Enzo had those pads in tight and Joes punches were very short with some of the shots from the inside of the glove.Thats not even good technique.Joe knows that so does Enzo.The workout like i said was just a media one.Nothing more or less.

 

see, by praising this media workout as an "amazing display of speed," when in reality it is certainly not, you expose yourself as a nuthugger. I hate Calzaghe, but I've seen him a lot faster than that. The pad work was not very good.
