Humiliated?? If Im not mistaken it was a decisive points victory not a humiliation?? and he's already unified the division before the better man got to him......

You can only overrate someone if you actually know about the boxer.........thats how its relevant....I dont judge a boxer off two HBO telecasts and a best of montage off youtube so muh

    It was actually a humiliation.

I hope Calzaghe wins, so there can be a "Somebody's 0's gotta go" fight between Calzaghe and Pavlik.

It wasnt.....it was just a clear points win in a scrappy fight.....I always fancied barerra to win anyway......Naz was one of my favourite fighters to watch but he was flawed.....still beat the best the USA could offer at the time......Augie Sanchez, Tom "Boom Boom" Johnson and Kevin Kelley

Agreed, from a subjective standpoint the fast combos he threw were about 3 inches from the pads, not really a good indicator of handspeed. That being said normally I have been really impressed of his speed.

That fight is very doubtful though I don't think either guy would want it at this stage in their careers.....I'm holding out for a RJJ-B-Hop rematch still

Who has a better chance of beating Hopkins then? 36 yr old Cal or 40 yr old RJJ?

Fair enough....but what makes you so certain Calzaghe can't beat Hopkins?

im here, overrated for sure.i would call him a poormans semi prime rjj, but even then rjj stills hits harder and does not slap.

the more he punches the better for bhop, but after a few counters with the right, he want throw as much.bhop makes everyone look bad and is able to take away any fighters best punch or style.

alla winky tito oscar tarver and anyone else he fought and was suppose to lose to, even taylors.

i stop watch the vid after 5:30, he looked good but not freaky like someone else said, maybe i need to watch the whole thing.instead i watch a rjj vid of him doing the same thing joe did but this a much older version of roy like 2007
and he still got joe cal beat in my nuthuggin eyes

    see for yourslef ***gots http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JbRykf-5Zo8
im out this ***** peace :rasta

  14. I was unimpressed with the padwork but its now abundantly clear how foolish so many fans truly are, did you see that rubberball work?!?! Hello!?!? It's one thing hitting it in routine, Joe hit in out of sequence, fast, from angles and accurately too!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hopkins is a marked man.

it is irrelevant how many times you've seen him, your statement is more than enough proof to show your failure to grasp what real speed is and more importantly the abilities of your favorite fighter you have watched since 96 and seen 3 times. its ok if you dont know boxing, us on this board will teach you...:good
