Can you idiots not just stick to boxing?

Another potentially decent thread ruined by childish cocksuckers.

This is a workout for the media and Setanta with which they have a contract - sort of sending a message to the other side of the pond that Joe is well and relaxed ( that's why he makes the X before working with the speed ball). He is relaxed alright and he doesn't seem tight or too heavy but freakin speed? The bad boy or the nice guy, whatever you want to call him, was doing his usual routine with Enzo Calzaghe, he was not even sparring... We all know he's fast on the meets with short hooks inside 1,2,3 but there's nothing more in that video. That's why it's a media workout - they are not supposed to really work behind the cameras.

As RJJ is so shot surely this fight only takes place if/when Hop loses ??

Those gloves look like 12 Oz to 14 Oz, anyone can tell what size they are? He has awesome speed, but alot his punches very close range, which create effect that his punches look much faster, but no doubt he got fast hands

100% agree. that was just a mess around session for the benefit of the media. he looked to be going about 75% there.

I have to say that that rubber-ball training is gonna prepare Calzaghe to hit Hopkins systematically at range ( they are both around 74, 75 ins of reach) and Nard better prepare himself to keep his outside range more than he did against Winky. Calzaghe definitely has the reflexes to work on Hops like he does to the rubber ball.

Wow, he looked impressive on the floor-to-ceiling ball (Double end bag).

Fair enough, I'm an RJJ fan through and through, but I can see Calzaghe whooping B-Hop IMO

And one more thing - If I'm being honest, I really do think Jones would trouble Calzaghe more than Hopkins would

You don't need to tell me how great the man was. I'd love to see him retire and enjoy himself tho'. I think we all hate to see great fighters fall into the trap that he's laying for himself?
