Yeah, Calzaghe tried to fight everyone but everyone ducked him, that includes all the other champions which is why he never decided to unify till Kessler and Lacy gathered the belts and made the flight to him or else even those two won't be on his record nor the rest of the titles.

If you want to believe bull**** then go for it, no one with brains will tolerate such nonsense. The man never wanted to leave Wales till everyone was rotting old and beyond shot and his two biggest wins were literally begging to make the fight and collected belts HE WAS SUPPOSED TO COLLECT IF HE REALLY CONSIDERED HIS SELF DOMINATING A DIVISION FIGHTING TOMATO CANS IN WALES all the way to his backyard for him to fight for. Smoke that or keep sipping cheap beer.

Jones beat the king of the hill which was James Toney, not Eubanks, not Benn, not Collins, etc. A win over Toney in his prime is a much better win than any of those guys including Calzaghe and the greatly overhyped Michaelczhewski. RJ in his prime vs. Calzaghe in his would of been very competitive, probably the hardest fight for RJ, but he had his legs to move him around, plus the blinding speed and power. It would of been 8 rounds to 4 for RJ. He would of gotten 2 or 3 early knockdowns of Joe in his prime like he did in round 1 when Roy was a shell of himself. Joe never had a good defense and has alot of heart and will to win, but if anyone would of exposed him, it was a prime RJ.

Your friend Bhop did exactly the same thing: Hakker, Frank, Allen*3, Echols*2 etc, but let me guess he is a legend to you, right?

I thought Jones's decline in finishing/killer instinct was more of him moving up and facing bigger opponents at LHW. He did show concern for his opponents in some fights at SMW when they were hurt, he put his gloves up like "come on, stop it" against Paz and told the ref to stop the Brannon fight, but looked pretty good right after he did that when the refs didn't stop it. He finished them. Right after the Benn-McClellan tragedy, Jones stopped Byrd in 1, stopped Pazienza, stopped Thornton early, stopped Sosa early (bad stoppage), had that stinker against Lucas, and then stopped Brannon early.

After moving up to 175, it seemed like he was more content to coast and often didn't go for the finish.

    Exactly...

Some of his best knockouts were after the Benn-McClellan fight... He even had the killer instinct in some of his early LHW fights...

I think that... I too think it had more to do with the move up in weight and getting a little older at the same time.
