Yes. Calzaghe is likely the best boxer in the history of the sport.

Calzghes not just a one dimensional brawler you know. :D
He's just as comfortable fighting of the back foot.
This is an evenly matched intriging fight.

Just like being whacked in the temple by Byron Mitchell made Calzaghe shy to throw back, just like being hit repeatedly whilst fighting one handedly against Robin Reid made him shy to throw back.

Make a case for Robinson being a superior fighter to Joe Calzaghe, as soon as video evidence is brought into it I win.

The whole boxing establishment need to start being sensible. Roy Jones maybe, Calzaghe maybe, Robinson no.

There is absolutely no logic in saying something like this.

Toney's too accurate and smart a counter puncher, not to mention his defensive ability would make Joe look foolish hitting air so much. An aggressive, accurate counter puncher with great defense and a chin of steel vs. an aggressive volume puncher who doesn't posses the biggest punch? Just a bad matchup for Joe.

Mate I think Calzaghe is a ****ing brilliant boxer and would give any fighter in history fits but there are many fighters who have more talent, a h2h advantage over Joe and faced a better quality of oposition.
I know your just arguing against peoples knee jerk reactions and the fact that the american media bias is appalling but how many links to youtube do you want? Or would you like an a rather long list of names?
If you think he's the goat then its on you to convince me not on me to disprove it.

So are you gonna get that tattoo of Hopkins on your ass when he beats Joe?

What has quality of opposition got to do with anything.

I claim Calzaghe may be the BOAT not the GOAT.

Calzaghe doesn't allways fight like that however. He's not just a volume puncher.

Quality/fame of opposition diffrentiates fighters level of greatness, not their actually physical capabilities as a boxer.

No sane person would seriously claim Calzaghe is the greatest fighter of all time. Nor would any sane person dismiss claims he is the best.

    Joe Calzaghe UD.

The angles and handspeed that Calzaghe would have would be a problem for Toney.
