Mental toughness is what separates the fighters that succumb to the pressure and those that don't. I just don't understand exactly what Andrade is all of a sudden going to accomplish after being humiliated for 10 rounds. That sounds silly

Well I agree . . . but like you said JC is a master boxer . . . so It's not hard to think that JC will outpoint Andrade the way he outboxed Kesller.

Amsterdam is right. You have to be a border line elite to beat Andrade, but that is not enough; you have to have the right style for him too.

Calzaghe, Bute and Mundine are all better than Andrade, overall. But they just don't have the style to beat Andrade.

Andrade would have a higher chance of losing to Bika or Froch than to Calzaghe.

The pressure would finally get to Calzaghe, humiliation or not. Bodyshots would bring him down in the end...

He would more than outpoint him; he would lacy him every round but be ground down himself in the meantime, by Andrade's pressure. By the Championship rounds, Andrade would have too much.

You should be putting some money on your predictions if you are so confident

You see I agree with you that styles make matchups, and actually that Andrades style is "the type of style" to beat a guy like JC. But the problem for me is that Andrade is not a very special fighter and isn't on JCs level. If he was A- or an elite-level fighter then I would say he has a chance. But he has tons of flaws (so many I don't feel like listing them). In fact I can't think of a single thing he can do to frustrate JC in this fight. He has no outstanding punches or combinations, and isn't very powerful because he doesn't set his feet to generate power most of the time. He also is half as fast as JC and allows himself to get backed into the ropes at times which is where JC will throw combos and completely humiliate him.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion though, and I respect that you stick by yours even if its not the popular one :good

No...Bute, like Calzaghe and Mundine has the wrong style for Andrade...Bute would lose against Andrade, just like Calzaghe. Bute, though, has a slightly better style for Andrade than Calzaghe. He would outpoint Andrade less in the first 10 rounds, but would fall under the sword himself in the end...it's a style's thing...just ask Amsterdam...

Mundine, however, would fall to Andrade faster than either Calzaghe or Bute though...this is obvious. One thing Mundine hates more than any other top fighter at SMW is pressure.

:nono if he got to the championship rounds he'd be that devastated and embarassed by how completely out of his league he is that he would just want to survive to the final bell then run to the dressing rooms.

    :huh

What, you think Calzaghe would fight Andrade? Andrade is a risk/reward nightmare for Calzaghe...even if he beats Bute and gets himself a belt...
