u cant always believe what a boxer or their promoter says before or after fights, just look at casamayor today he said he wasnt hurt during the fight, anyone that saw it can see he was

unless your their in a fighters entourage u never really know exactly whats goin on

Of course you're never 100% sure. But I do know that he didn't spare before going down under - unless of course he spared in segret...

He got a back specialist (Thomas Macon) asign when he got his back hurt - Macon tolled him to lay of the roadwork - so I'm also pretty sure about the amount of roadwork too.

And if you watch the Mundine-fight and compares it to: Kessler-Thobela, Thysse and Andrade then the fitness differense is obvious.

Last indication: Kessler normally doesn't talk "****" - he took his loss against calzaghe fine - no excuses. And Kessler has been very consitent saying he was not fit for the Mundine-fight and he has given me no reason to doubt that.

But as I said - if Mundine ever grows the balls to face Kessler again then we can all see with our own eyes the differense ... although we wouldn't get 12 rounds this time around :smoke

And then, Choc wakes up and remembers Bika's called him out and that he's not sure how to get out of that one...or how to keep ducking Kessler some more...:hi:

He does, but that is because Andrade's style is perfect for Calzaghe, not because of some transitivity relationship. Andrade is not as made to order for Calzaghe as Lacy, but it's close.

    :huh

Calzaghe eats pressure fighters for breakfast, even with a broken hand he can easily outbox Andrade to a ridiculous UD with his footspeed and handspeed.

    Why this anti-Calzaghe sentiment?

Calzaghe would win 120-108 best prepared, even now.

Bute on the other hand, I don't know. I could see Bute beating Andrade, but Andrade could win also, a 50/50.

Calzaghe's one of the most durable fighters around?

Shuts out Andrade for 10 rounds, eating next to nothing in terms of punishment and somehow gets destroyed the last 2?

Has Amsterdam made negative comments about Bute and upset you? Or is Andrade your new Bika?

Nah...both Amsterdam and you need to read my last couple of posts in the thread - that reply to sean, particularly.;)

Two of my favourite fighters and people out there at SMW are Andrade and Bika, yeah. I don't overrate either though. But neither do I underrate them. Would love to see the fight between them. But, I'd rather Andrade beat the **** out of Miranda first...

I have Andrade in my Top 5 now, after Calzaghe, Kessler, Bute and Mundine. I think Andrade would beat Mundine because of styles, but he is not as good, generally. I have Andrade before Froch and Inkin right now too...this might change after the two fight though. Taylor, I'm not sure where he fits in yet; I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and put him in the mix with the big boys for now...but not sure how high to rank him yet...

Was Katsidis really the favorite yesterday? I didn't even look at the odds, I just assumed he was the massive underdog.

Katsidis was the big favourite...I think he was something like 1.4 with Casa being 2.5...if I remember right...

I picked Katsidis by stoppage, but frankly, it was the first time I had looked at these two and wasn't sure how good they were. I only watched a cople of rounds on youtube...and going by boxrec, Casa looked finished...I guess I was wrong...:|

Katsidis Is awful how could he been favoured, even Earl didn't find him hard to tag and Kat was gassing In the 5th.

Calzaghe could beat Andrade one handed.

He really is the new Gatti, only shitter, if that is possible.

He be favorite going into a fight again soon, and against any half decent opponent he will lose again.

It doesn't matter that his opponent was half-shot. Also Amsterdam told you the result.

No...you're still the man, Amsterdam! :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup

I didn't know you knew much about these two; I certainly did not...and frankly, it wasn't the fight I was interested in.

My prediction for really big fights is still perfect though:yep ; it seems I'm also lucky enough to guess how the judges might be influenced politically (e.g. Pac v. JMM)

Of course, it helps that on really big fights I always listen to you...and only go against you when you let your enthusiasm get the better of you e.g. Judah over Cotto, JMM over Pacman, Calzaghe by stoppage against Kessler, Povetking by stoppage against Chambers...:D

    :good
