Calzaghe v Dawson has to be made

Are you not bored of this ****? 6 weeks ago it was Pavlik, he gets beaten and now its Dawson, if the fight with Johnson had been awarded the right way (in my eyes) then we wouldnt even be mentioning him, we would be talking about some other over-hyped ameribum.

 

It is the only fight for Calzaghe, if he wants to fight on. The rest are entirely pointless.

Whooping Froch's ass all over the ring like Lacy doesn't do much. They are both guys that are largely unproven.

He already beat Hopkins, and I don't see any way ol' Hop can turn the fight around to take it clearly when he'd have to come to Wales. Why the hell would Calzaghe go to America and risk it on the cards?

Dawson is the only one worth getting excited about.

 

calzaghe doesnt have to do anything. i would like to see it though.

 

I think he is frustrated. He fights two legends in one year and beats them and people still do not give him credit. So he is frustrated. I think he deserves credit. I think Hopkins and Jones were still credible.

 

He deserves credit for Hopkins (even pre Pavlik), not Jones.

 

It'd be better if Dawson rematched Johnson. Calzaghe could meet the winner, if he isn't retired by then.

 

It doesn't need to happen but it would be nice if it does.

 

Joe is scared of Chad Dawson and if I were him i wouldn't go near that kid...

 

TFFP speaks the truth, but it doesn't have to happen. If JC wants to retire then let the man retire.. people don't understand what these guys go through to prepare for a fight... especially at the age of 37, after 46 fights, and when you have a family to look after

 

I thought the Jones win was impressive. He shut down Roy for 11 rounds after being knocked down. Not many guys could do that to Roy even in 2008.

Joe is not scared of Dawson. Calzaghe wants all his fights to matter now since he is getting older, and Dawson is just not that well known. If Calzaghe beats him people will just say Dawson was unproven, and the people will have a point. Right now we say Dawson is impressive, but if he loses to Calzaghe then what will we say? What are people saying about Pavlik now? And Pavlik was seen as higher rated than Dawson is now before Bernard outclassed him. Why not put Pavlik in with Dawson? He can make the weight. Joe wants the guys who are in his level and age group. Why shouldn't he deserve to fight the names? I guess I am one person who thinks he has had a heck of a year.

 

He dealt well with what was put in front of him but Jones isn't a top 175lber anymore.

 

What has Dawson done that scares Calzaghe so much?
