I can't really comment as I've only seen Chad Dawson fight once but how do people see this fight going seeing as Dawson is recognised by a lot of people as Joe's most difficult fight out there?

I like Calzaghe I hope he never loses but then again ... this is boxing and its very hard to finish you're career undefeated ... very few have done it.

Hopkins will be Joe's stiffest test to date ... Hopkins is a student of the game and will prepare well.

I just got a gut feeling that he will lose against B-Hop!!

We shall see next month how it goes down ... most of all i'm happy that its on WCB and not on PPV.

another highly anticipated match-up to go in the archives

It's going to be a close fight that can go either way, most likely. Both guys have strengths that trouble each other, Calzaghe has much more experience and may have the edge in that regard.

Contrary to opinion, Calzaghe's a lot quicker in feet than Dawson, but Dawson is more accurate.

Dawson also has a slight size advantage, but so did Kessler.

I'd go with Calzaghe close UD.

Dawson would beat Calzaghe EASILY. He nullifys ANY advantage Calzaghe has. He's a southpaw like Joe, He's fast like Joe, He has more power then Joe, and He's fast defensively. The only advantage Joe would have is experience.. Mark my words.. Calzaghe will stay FAR away from Dawson. He rather fight 44 year old blown up middleweights :)

Good points amsterdam, but what if the fight happens at 175?

Dawson's more comfortable and proven at this weight ... Dawson has had short campaigns at the smaller weight classes.

On record Kessler looked about even with Calzaghe as far as size

    Dawson by 11th rd stoppage.

Dawson the better all around athlete --

Calzaghe will be less weight drained at 175 = better punch resistence.

Dawson lacks the power needed to stop Calzaghe.

Picking Dawson by decision isn't a bad pick though, it could likely happen.

Uhhh how do you figure that?? He was punishing Adamek who at the time was one of the best light heavies and is now fighting at Cruiserweight but he lacks the power to stop Calzaghe? I don't think so buddy :good

Besides being black, what do they have in common?

Chad Dawson beats Calzaghe IMO....but then again Chad is one of my favorites so this is pretty biased.

Dawson is untested like Lacy was and will get dominated as soon as he steps in the ring with a world class boxer. Hes due to fight a washed up and completely shot Johnson. Thats his true level!

    haha sit down.

Chad Dawson has a leaky defence, shaky chin, and hasnt the power to keep Calzaghe away.

He's probably the most overated boxer on these forums. He hasnt done ****. Harding was past it, and Adamek is a c+ fighter and he got knocked down by both of them.

    Calzaghe by wide UD.

    Kessler would beat Dawson.
    Hopkins would beat Dawson.
    Taylor would beat Dawson.
    Pavlik would beat Dawson.

This fight could very well happen though?

Especially if Calzaghe wants to remain at LHW ...

I would pick Dawson just on youth and ability ... I think that it will go to the scorecards but has the chances of being stopped.

Dawson is naturally bigger and has been tested by some legit LHW's given he gets past Glenn Johnson.

It would be a great fight if both were to win their upcoming fights.

I would rather see Calzaghe reign at LHW than go back to SMW.

I said it before, I don't think that Calzaghe would ever lose -- but with my experience in boxing -- anything possible.

good prediction ... it seemed truth based and I liked you view of how the fight will pan out.

possibly a re-play of Pacquiao v Marquez I at a higher weight class...

This leaky chin BS is vastly overrated and more so a line of BS.

If Dawson is so easily beatable...why is he practically begging the top guys to fight him? Scared much?

Pick em fight IMO. I still haven't made up my mind as to who I would pick in this matchup. I would like to see how Joe handles 175 before I make a prediction.
