just looked at fightnews rankings and joe calzaghe is no1 contender for wbc lhw belt which diaconu holds. what do you think would happen if joe decided to fight this fight?????
no way will joe take this fight maybe if diaconu was 15 years older but not now joe wants to go out unbeaten and that wil not be the right choice
no i think your being generous, he wants 30 years age gap. calzaghe has lost his bollocks. a few years ago calzaghe would of taken the risks!
The worst thing is to underestimate Diaconu because he has the power to KO anyone! - I dont think that Dawson avoided him for nothing! LOL! Anyway I think this will never happen because Calzaghe is thinking about retiring since 2007! Joe said that if he clearly defeats Roy Jones Jr he is retiring.
Diaconu is like a better version of Lacy in this one. His left hook is better, he is more intelligent and a better strategist and all-round boxer than Lacy, but Calzaghe would win a very wide decision. Yeah, Diaconu probably would hurt Calzaghe with his punch if he landed, but he is very unlikely to land against Calzaghe. Why are we even talking about this match-up? There are ten other fighters who have a higher chance of getting a shot at Calzaghe than Diaconu.
