Joe would be too elusive for him and would probably stop him late on, with high volumes of fast combos.

I might favor Hearns. He's got more range and power, with fast hands too. Calzaghe didn't hit hard enough to bother Hearns or did he.?

Very intriguing matchup. Maybe Calzaghe wins a very close stinker. On the fence here.

I don't believe Tommy would allow it to be a stinker .I can see Joe struggling here a fair bit with Hearns jab and power. Calz would adjust ,but Tommy still makes it close .I see it going to the card s in a entertaining fight with Joe just scraping through with the win .

Great match up. I see it as a true 50:50. I'll go for Hearns. Just.

I respect Joe but his career ending fights against Hopkins and Jones showed his strengths and weaknesses .. Joe was not a big puncher .. Hearns was lightning fast and a huge puncher .. it is an intriguing match up that could go either way .. especially since 168 was not Tommy's best weight .. I may favorite Joe but Tommy would be very, very dangerous style wise.

No boxer outpoints Hearns even at 168. Hearns UD.

Hearn's Achilles hill were fighters who came at him, and capable of weathering the fire power he was capable of. Calzaghe wasn't that type of fighter. He was a very fast counter puncher, with above average foot speed. Hearns jab , height and reach would be able too offset Calazaghe's foot speed and counters. Hearn's threat of that ballistic right hand would keep Calazaghe cautious. I can easily see Hearns winning a dec over Calazaghe, esp over a 12 rd fight. I see the fight unfolding just like Hearns vs Hill.

Hearns would likely beat Joe but it would go to decision, not an easy night for either man.

really? too elusive for Tommy? think again.
hes not stopping him, except in Cardiff if he turns to ref asking for an escape route like with Byron Mitchell.

Ward would of outpointed Hearns and Kov if he didn`t knock him out first.

Hearns would have been a tougher fight for Joe than Mitchell.

Hearns pawing jab followed by the right hand would be a big problem for Joe and Tommy could end the fight with one punch.

Hearns always dangerous but Joe fast and mobile, may have to show Hearns a touch of his power. I likw JC by UD but beware of Hearns power
