I would love to see Jones outbox him and pick him apart for 4-5 rounds and then drop and finish him with a body shot.

Calzaghe slap-attack TKO between rounds 4 and 9 after a domination job. This is the usual way a fight against a guy who is shot to pieces goes.

  3. Truthfully....I believe there's a possibility of this fighting ending like Marciano v Louis & by that I mean a KO of a fighter clearly past his prime though some may not admit it by another guy with an unbeaten record who had a fair chance of beating him prime for prime. That is fair, not certain. Fair. NOT certain. Re read what I just said and take it it & not to heart ok.

Just imagine for a moment Joe did KO him (and I am not saying he will) the similarities would be quite scary wouldn't they?

*note* I am not comparing the fighters of Calzaghe to Marciano I am comparing their fight outcomes, there is a difference.

Joe Louis was fighting for Bread Money because he HAD to. Roy Jones is fighting for legacy because he WANTS to. Motivation is the difference here.

Hopefully Roy prepared for 12 fast rounds because Calzaghe will bring it. Calzaghe gets sloppy at times and Roy can still throw crisp counters that can hurt him. Calzaghe is not strong enough to stop Jones and this will come down to who brings a better game plan and stamina. I'm leaning towards a Roy Jones win by decision because he throws cleaner, more powerful punches.

Dunno where all these people thinking Roy will or would have KO Calzaghe, when Roy never stopped an Elite fighter when he was in his prime, what chance is there now? It would have been points in his prime and if he wins on saturday it will be points then.

Looks like majority ruled correctly for this one.

Out of interest, how did everyone score this fight? British TV and Amercian TV differed but I finished 118-110 giving Jones the first and last round. Round 7 was arguable but I gave it to Joe...
